The Kyrgyz Issyk-Kul is the second largest mountain lake on Earth. Its length is about 180 km, width - 60 km. More than 50 rivers flow into it. Being at an altitude of 1608 m, maintaining a depth of about 700 m and at the same time - amazing purity of water, it was not for nothing that it was awarded the title of "blue heart of the Tien Shan." And of course, many amazing secrets are connected with this reservoir …
Until recently, the name “Issyk-Kul” was interpreted as “Hot Lake”, since in Kyrgyz “Issyk” is hot, and “Kul” is a lake. It does not freeze, despite the harsh winters and high altitude. And the reason for this is that the water in it is brackish, moreover, it is often "stirred" by strong winds.
There is one more interpretation of the name. “Izykh” in Kyrgyz means “revered, sacred”. Due to the fact that the lake was revered by the locals (it was considered a sin to pollute it, even swim in it and fish), the interpretation became more logical - “sacred lake”.
In August 1965, the passengers and crew of the "Raduga" motor ship, cruising across the Red Sea, watched at dusk as a mysterious luminous sphere 60 m in diameter burst out from under the water and rushed into the sky, throwing a giant water column behind it. For a while, it hovered in the air at a height of one and a half hundred meters, flooding everything around with a bright glow, and then at great speed disappeared over the horizon.
A few years ago, a family of tourists encountered a similar phenomenon when they went to swim on the Balykchyn city beach on a moonlit night. Half a kilometer from the coast, a water tornado arose, rushing to the stars. True, eyewitnesses did not notice any UFO this time.
Something silvery
A resident of the Kara-Oi village of the Issyk-Kul region, Viktor Ostankin, recalls the events of that hot summer day in every detail. In the morning, together with their comrade Sergei Drozhzhin, they went to their vegetable gardens in the foothills of the Karagai-Bulak tract. By lunchtime, we finished weeding carrots, garlic and other green stuff. Having chosen a place in the shade of a spreading elm, we decided to take a break.
- I have such a habit - I always try to carry binoculars with me, - says Ostankin. - He helps to see a lot of interesting things. So that time he kissed the eyepieces, began to look at Issyk-Kul from the top point.
Below is a beautiful panorama of the blue surface of the Kara-Oy bay. About two kilometers from the shore, Victor's gaze was attracted by some strange object. A huge, 40 meters long, cigar-shaped thing was in a slightly submerged position. And only from the top point it was possible to notice its presence about two meters under the water column.
“For some reason, I immediately thought about UFOs,” admitted our interlocutor. - All residents of Issyk-Kul region know about the testing of all sorts of cunning contraptions in the water area by the military. But a silvery, strange shape and such an impressive size submarine in the lake - this, excuse me, does not fit into any framework. So the conclusion suggests itself.

Dating Night
In the village of Baet, Issyk-Kul region, rumors about "submarines" persistently circulate, which no, no, and they catch the eye of local residents.
Syrgak Abdraev spends all his free time fishing. That night, about a kilometer from the coast, he began to set up nets. The time was approaching midnight. Suddenly, about a hundred meters away, the sound of water was heard. In front of the startled fisherman's eyes, a dark oval-shaped silhouette appeared from the water. Taking into account the part remaining under the water, the length of the "submarine" was approximately four tens of meters. Simultaneously with the ascent of the object, a loud sound was heard, reminiscent of thunder or a somewhat muffled explosion. A faint glow lit up the area. Syrgak automatically noted that after the “thunder”, the electric lights in the village and nearby boarding houses simultaneously went out.
Having coped with the numbness, the guy leaned on the oars and came to his senses only at the very shore.
“I didn’t suspect that my unexpected meeting with an unexpected guest from the depths would not be the last,” the interlocutor continued. - A year later, she repeated!
It happened not far from the place of the first unexpected "rendezvous". This time, at three o'clock in the morning, the whopper appeared without any special sound and light effects. The distance to it from the boat was no more than 50 meters. The big wave that arose at the place where the Nautilus was surfacing was so great that a small fishing boat almost scooped up water over the side. Such a shake-up completely dismissed the thought of any hallucination. Black divers
Now let's go back more than twenty years ago. In the summer of 1982, Lieutenant Colonel Zverev headed the training dives of a group of military scuba divers in Issyk-Kul. Unexpectedly, Major General Demyanko, the commander of a division of divers and scuba divers of the engineering troops, arrived at the location. The visit of such a high-ranking Moscow bosses testified to the extraordinary situation.
It turned out that on Lake Baikal, military divers accidentally stumbled upon some underwater swimmers. In appearance, they almost did not differ from people. Only their height was at least three meters! These creatures did not have scuba gear or masks - they were replaced by spherical helmets. All ammunition consisted only of tight-fitting wetsuits. But the water in the reservoir at a depth of 50 meters is icy. The appearance in her in such a suit means instant death for a person.
It was decided to capture one of the strange swimmers. This was entrusted to a group of seven scuba divers. But when they tried to throw a net on one of the creatures, it threw away the whole seven with such force that people in a matter of seconds were on the surface. And because of the instant decompression, they got decompression sickness. Only four submariners were saved. Three were killed after the tragic operation to capture the "black diver".
That is why General Demyanko arrived in Issyk-Kul in a hurry. The fact is that the same anthropoid amphibians were seen in this lake. Fortunately, no one here began to force events.
Soon, the military received a special bulletin, which gave a detailed description of unidentified monster swimmers and giant disco and sphere-shaped objects seen above these lakes. UFOs suddenly appeared in the sky above the reservoir, plunged into it at high speeds, at which any apparatus of terrestrial origin would be scattered to pieces. They burst out from under the water at the same prohibitive speed.
