The day before the local TV company Imedi aired a story in which a cub with a tail, claws and ears like a cat, but otherwise similar to a puppy, can be seen sucking milk from its mother, while she licks it at the same time. The cat is light gray with white breasts and paws, and the puppy is spotted, black and white.
“I would never have thought that a cat would give birth to a puppy. During childbirth, the cat suffered. After a while I approached and saw that a dog was born,”said the owner of the animal.
Meanwhile, local residents attribute the phenomenon to radiation. However, as veterinarians say, if the cat were exposed to radiation, the puppy would be born with abnormalities, and he is absolutely healthy.
Scientists also deny the version of interspecies crossing. From the point of view of science, this is impossible, they say. It can not be so. The anatomy and nature of these animals is completely different. In a puppy, it is difficult to determine where which limbs are, it is a mistake of definition or a desire to get a sensation. It's like saying that man was born with bird's feet. How many such cases happen, it always seemed to someone, and the journalists wrote, after that it turned out to be a sensation,”said Nikolai Skalon, professor of Kemerovo State University.
