The pyramidal structures in the mountains of Antarctica are most likely the result of hundreds of millions of years of erosion, experts told Live Science. The mountain, which attracts the attention of fans of stories about UFOs and parallel worlds, is one of many that form the Ellsworth mountain system, named after the pilot Lincoln Ellsworth, who flew over the area on November 23, 1935.
