Sometimes a person, even in a state of wakefulness, can, so to speak, change the mechanism of action and suddenly, for one or a few seconds, find himself in another such area. Confusion is usually observed. There are those who intentionally learn to do this, but often people do not understand that they interpret the experience gained through the values of their “native” consciousness.
All this is not as difficult as it might seem. Almost everyone has amusing conscious experiences and intuitively knows that their full experience is not limited to physical reality. Many dreams are animated postcards brought back from a trip you forgot a lot about. Your consciousness is already again focused on physical reality, and sleep is an attempt to translate deep experience into recognizable forms. Dream images are also heavily coded and represent the underlying events that are inherently unrecognizable.
These dreams exist in more than one reality, and their impact reveals different phases of consciousness, which, in your words, are real for both the living and the dead, and in which both the living and the dead can participate. This is why inspiration and revelation are often part of the dream state.
In the most protected areas of sleep, visible barriers between different layers of reality disappear. For example, you are aware of some probable realities. You choose what likely actions you want to implement in your system. Other possible actions you take while sleeping. You do it individually, but also all together, at the level of nations and the world as a whole.
Consciousness at different levels, or phases, perceives different types of events. To perceive some of them, you just need to learn how to shift the focus of attention from one level to another. These stages of consciousness are accompanied by minor chemical and electromagnetic changes, as well as certain physical changes in the body itself - in the production of hormones and the activity of the pineal gland.
Usually, you slip from wakefulness to sleep, not noticing the various states of consciousness that you are passing through. But there are several of them. First, of course, with some degree of spontaneity, there is a turn of consciousness inward, from physical information, from problems and concerns of everyday life. Then there is an indefinite level between wakefulness and sleep, where you become the receiver - passive but open. In it you easily receive telepathic and clairvoyant messages (it is in this state that meditations and regressive hypnosis are carried out)
It seems that your consciousness is floating. This is accompanied by various physical sensations - sometimes its own increase, sometimes a fall. Both sensations mark the moments when you almost "grasp", almost become aware of this undefined area, and then translate some of the sensations into physical terms. For example, the sensation of enlargement is a physical transmission of internal expansion. Fall is an interpretation of the sudden return of consciousness to the body.
This period can last only a few moments, or half an hour, or you can return to it. It is a protective, supportive and expanding state of consciousness. The suggestions made at this time are very effective. This period is followed by a state of activity that can occur, a kind of pseudo-sleep, when the mind preoccupies itself with physical problems that could persist in the first two phases.

If they are too strong, the person may wake up. This stage is bright and intense, but usually short. Then comes another indefinite level, this time characterized by voices, conversations or images - consciousness is clearly tuned in to communication. Several communication channels can compete for a person's attention. At this point, the body is relatively calm. The person will follow one or another of these internal stimuli to a deeper level of consciousness and process the ongoing communication into light dreams.
Somewhere during this period, he will enter a well-protected area of sleep, where he will be on the verge of different levels of reality and probabilities. His feelings are out of the context of time, as you understand it. He can sense years, although only a few minutes have passed. It then returns to physical reality in what your scientists have called REM sleep, where physically oriented dreams are created using human knowledge.
Then the cycle repeats. However, when you are awake, about the same vibrations and phases are repeated, although you are even less aware of them, because the ego deliberately overlaps these other areas of experience.
However, under waking consciousness there are different stages with the same chemical, electromagnetic and hormonal fluctuations. You are simply not aware of what your consciousness is doing. You yourself cannot keep track of this for five complete moments of your time. Its dimensions can only be experienced with sufficient determination to spend time and energy traveling through their own subjective realities. However, intuitively everyone knows that they are constantly deprived of part of their own experience. When you suddenly cannot remember the name you should know, in fact, you have the same feeling that you subconsciously feel all the time.
Only by learning to feel, or feel, or intuitively perceive the depths of your own experience, will you be able to look at the nature of All That Is. As you become more aware of the actions of your own consciousness in physical life, you can learn to see how it operates in other, less familiar areas. Probable realities are probable only because you are not aware of them.
These phases of consciousness are part of your own reality. Knowing about them can be very helpful. You can learn to "displace", detach from your own experience, and examine it from a better perspective. You can prepare questions or problems by telling yourself that they will be addressed in the dream state. You may be making suggestions to yourself that you will communicate with friends who are far away, or, for example, transmit messages that you cannot verbally say. For example, on another level of reality, you can make peace, if this is impossible at the current one.
You can direct the healing of your body by telling yourself that you will do it yourself at one of the levels of sleeping consciousness. You can ask for help, the necessary psychological guidance that is required to stay healthy. If you have specific conscious goals and you are generally confident that they are positive, then you can instill in yourself the dreams in which you achieve them, because such dreams will speed up their physical realization.
Unconsciously, you do a lot of the above. You often, so to speak, go back in time and "relive" a particular event with a different ending, or say things you would like to say. Understanding one state of consciousness can help you in others. In a light trance, you can learn the meaning of dream symbols if you ask about it. These symbols can then be used for a personalized suggestion. For example, if you find out that a fountain in a dream means recuperation, then when you feel tired or depressed, think of a fountain. Thus, you will create it, of course, on a different level of reality.
In the most protected areas of sleep, you have experiences that are pure feeling or knowledge, unrelated to words or images. As mentioned, this experience is later translated into dreams, providing a return to the zones of consciousness that are more familiar with physical information. This is where creative synthesis and creative diversification take place, in which each individual dream image has meaning for different levels of "I". On one level, it symbolizes the reality that you have experienced, and on others - it, but in a more specific application to various areas of experience or problems. Consequently, there is a transformation of one symbol into a multitude, and the conscious mind can perceive simply the chaos of various dream images, because the inner organization and unity are partially hidden in other areas of consciousness into which the conscious mind cannot pass.
However, the zones of the unconscious and subconscious are aware of more information than the ego, since it usually receives minor remnants of data from dreams. The production of dreams is as complex an "enterprise" as the production of the objective life of a particular person. They only live in different conditions.
These different stages of consciousness and the pulsation of energetic activity can also be observed directly while awake.
