The woman who was collecting herbs in the village cemetery was terribly frightened when she heard faint screams from the ground. She ran to the village and returned with the police.
The law enforcement officers found at a depth of a few centimeters, that is, literally a cardboard box slightly covered with earth, in which a crying baby was lying. It soon became clear that the parents, seeing their son's hare lip, decided to get rid of him and left him in the cemetery.
They returned two days later and, deciding that the baby had died, buried him in a shoebox. However, eight days later the poor man was found by the police. They believe that he survived due to the fact that he was buried shallow and that water and air seeped into the box.
Doctors have provided the baby with the necessary assistance and assess his condition as stable. Nothing threatens his life. The parents of the unfortunate child, poor peasants from the same village, already have a daughter. The police arrested them along with three relatives, writes the Daily Telegraph.
