A resident of the Indian village of Bhaktaivalan Ki Dhani in Jhunjhunu District, Rajasthan, named Budh Ram Gujar, was doing housework the Saturday before last and suddenly fell to the floor with no signs of life.
Gujar was 95 years old, so his large, alarmed family immediately called a doctor, who stated that the old man was indeed dead. His heart did not beat and his breathing was not noticeable.
According to The Times of India, after that, the children and grandchildren of Gujar called the priest to perform the funeral ceremony. All the men in the family shaved their heads as a sign of mourning, and then began to conduct ritual ceremonies.
At the end, when the 65-year-old Balu Ram, the son of the deceased, began to immerse the old man's body in a bathtub to wash it and then wrap it in a shroud, the deceased suddenly began to stir, as if trembling from the cold, to the horror of everyone who was present there.
But when they realized that it was not a zombie and their grandfather was really alive, the joy of the people did not end. The old man was carefully transferred to his bed, where he began to breathe, and then found the strength to sit down.
When asked by his relatives what happened to him, Budh Ram Gujar replied that he had a severe pain in his chest, and then he seemed to be fast asleep.
