Despite the impressive achievements of science (in particular, medicine), it is still not known thoroughly: what is it - the human brain. The greatest secret? Yes. A huge universe with tens of billions of nerve cells-neurons and countless semantic interconnections? Sure. We learned to clearly recognize the gray and white matter, hemispheres, and we made sure: this is the memory zone, this is the zone of associative thinking, and so on. But how do the thought processes go? Unclear. And astonishing discoveries await on the path of cognition of a person's own brain …
I will help you remember …
Johannef Butlar, a well-known psychologist and hypnotist in the West, gives his patients a journey into the past.
It is simply amazing that a person can survive in a state of hypnosis, sometimes reaching the very roots of his "I" …
- You are completely calm, relaxed, you hear only my voice. The eyelids are heavy, they droop. You fall into a deep sleep, into a deep hypnotic sleep …
Relaxed, detached from her daily worries, Heidi Korbis sits in front of Butlar. She is a television announcer. Will it be possible to return this attractive woman in her forties to her past, up to the moment of birth, or even to her former life? Slowly, gradually, the psychologist "leads" Heidi back in time, to her childhood. In a hypnotic dream, she talks about events that emerge in her memory.
“Now you are five years old,” says Johannef soulfully. - Where are you?
Promotional video:
“I'm in Windisch Laibach,” she says, barely audible. - Small chapel. The pastor has a hump.
- You sleep in a deep hypnotic sleep
- I do not want to talk.
- Are you cold or warm?
- It was warm and it became very light.
- We are in the past, many years before your birth. Can you see anything?
- White canvas like a sail. And it is very light … A lot of sun, there is a big tree …
- Where is the tree?
- In the middle of the meadow. This is Scotland …
- Do you see yourself?
- I feel myself.
- What else do you see?
- The room. It has a large table. Plates - mugs - herbs.
- What's your name?
- Louise.
- What year is it?
- 1617th.
- Where are you?
- I do not know. I do not see anything - the hypnotized woman falls into unconsciousness, begins to breathe intermittently.
- Calm, you are completely relaxed and calm, - the hypnotist inspires her.
Member of the Civil War
Many people sometimes have the feeling that they lived in a different time and place. It happens that scraps of memories come up that cannot be put in order. Are we talking about impressions that are stored in memory throughout life? Or, as some have argued, is it surfacing "in another existence"? In the circles of the initiated "traveling into the past" under hypnosis is a common thing. It makes it possible to achieve that the hypnotized step by step returns to his youth, childhood - up to the moment of birth, and then to an even more distant past. This succeeded in the case of the young American George Field. The hypnotist Loring Williams put this 15-year-old American into a state of deep hypnotic sleep. Williams gradually brought the boy back to the time of his birth, and then more than a hundred years ago in the past.
Soon the boy spoke:
- I was Jonathan Powell … a simple peasant from North Carolina … I lived there alone … not far from the town of Jefferson … Born in 1832 … During the Civil War in 1863 I was killed by rebel soldiers … They shot me … in the stomach …
As far as the historical documents obtained by Williams would permit, he verified the details hypnotized by George Field concerning Jonathan Powell. At the same time, it turned out that the hypnotized person reported about such features of this area and the town that could not be imagined, but could only be known. Then Loring Williams and the boy went to Jefferson. When he conducted a session of hypnosis in the presence of a historian who specially studied this region, it turned out amazing: speaking on behalf of the peasant Powell, George Field was able to name all the local "city fathers" of the last century by the names. He also described their homes in great detail.
However, it was not possible to document the existence of Jonathan Powell, since in this area they began to register births and deaths only since 1912. One reference was found: the name of Jonathan Powell's grandmother, as Field hypnotized, was Mary Powell. And according to one paper dated 1803, Mary Powell actually bought land in the area. Williams has published an account of this impressive, though not entirely provable, hypnotic throwback to the past. After a short time, George Field received a letter. A woman with her maiden name Powell wrote to him that she was Jonathan Powell’s great-niece. She told him about the details of the life of Jonathan Powell, which were known from oral stories in their family. Along with everything else, she wrote: “Jonathan Powell was my great-uncle. The Yankees killed him."
Hypnosis is the key that opens the doors of the subconscious
Hypnosis makes it possible to relatively quickly and reliably gain access to the subconscious. After all, hypnosis is nothing more than a type of sleep, a state during which a good hypnotist "controls events." For example, you can revive in incredible detail events that have fallen out of memory or deliberately displaced from it. At the same time, sometimes things happen that are worthy of a science fiction writer. It happened that people immersed in a hypnotic trance, talking about themselves, claimed that they live in a completely different century. The most striking thing is that sometimes they answered the hypnotist in another language that they had no idea about while awake - this was the language of the country they mentioned. In some cases, the experts involved in the experiments, at the cost of a lot of research work, established that the given adverb or dialect used by the subjectsreally correspond to the peculiarities of the language in the century in which, as the hypnotized man claimed, he allegedly lived.
Woman or man?
An amazing incident occurred in the second half of the twentieth century in the United States. A physician from Philadelphia used hypnosis as a treatment from time to time. In 1955, he administered a series of hypnotic sessions to his 37-year-old wife. Seeing that she was easily hypnotized, he tried to return her to the past. During one of the sessions, the wife suddenly spoke in a low male voice, with a pronounced Scandinavian accent. She definitely claimed to be a man named Jensen Jacobi. Then she generally began to answer questions in a foreign language, as the doctor understood, some Scandinavian.
Several Scandinavian specialists were invited for the next session, including the Swedish scholar Nils Salin, former director of the American-Swedish History Museum in Philadelphia. He found that when entering the image of Jensen Jacobi, the woman spoke outdated Swedish, but understood the questions asked to her in modern Swedish.
Science today does not know how to explain such a phenomenon
Judging by the situations described above, it can be cautiously concluded that each person has many lives. We do not remember past incarnations, let's call it that (why is a mystery), and, of course, we do not know anything about the future.
