Professor of King's College London Mauro Jakka the other day on the page of the Daily Mail expressed his opinion about why all attempts of scientists to prolong life are absurd - this is a dead-end path of human development. According to the scientist, today all efforts in this direction of the development of medicine, genetics, and so on are aimed at making the human body practically immortal (or "long-playing"). At the same time, few people pay attention to the fact that over the years, a person's brain performance decreases - by about 15 percent by the age of 80-90.
That is, over the years, a person begins to think more slowly, memorize worse, react to the world around him with a belated reaction. The spread of dementia in old age is common. That is, modern science prepares a person of the future with a healthy body, but a weak brain. And cures for dementia, Jakka continues, have not yet been found in old age, even Alzheimer's disease is still a secret for doctors.
Of course, we can assume that when scientists solve all the problems with the body, they will take care of the head, and in this case, they will be successful. But is it? Indeed, with the body, so far, the successes are not so significant, there is more boast and bravado when the wishful is presented as reality, not to mention deception: the other day, the editor-in-chief of one of the most respected medical journals in the world Lancet, Dr. Richard Horton (pictured below) said, that 50 percent of the peer-reviewed studies are fiction, just fakes. And at this time, cancer literally mows people down - and every year it gets stronger, not to mention the appearance of more and more terrible diseases in the world.
If we turn to the biological clock of a modern person, the London professor concludes, they limit our life to 120 years. It is obvious that Mother Nature (or God, who is closer to whom) has not in vain measured a certain length of life for a person. If you analyze numerous facts, you can see that all attempts of people to somehow artificially influence this process, fail completely: a person or dies quite early, no matter what (a healthy lifestyle, a billion-dollar state that allows you to use the best clinics and doctors of the world), or to old age (and not so fantastic) becomes a senile.
If we add to this the not so fantastic theory of reincarnation, it becomes clear that modern scientists want to compete with God. It turns out that some doctor, even a great genius, knows better than the Almighty how humanity should develop - in his daring desire to abolish death on Earth, which is still better to call a rebirth, a transition - and then, maybe, will not be in the world so many illusions, stupidity and cruelty …
