Women are not easy in this world. And sometimes their suffering continues after death. And while these creepy ghost stories may make you fearful of the fair sex, most of these stories are no longer related to the weaker sex in general, but rather to individual sad lives, dramatic deaths and terrible losses. Women need to be treated with respect … otherwise they may come back for us after death.
1. The headless nun
This story of the 1700s. tells about a French aristocrat who was sent to a Canadian monastery, but on the way she lost her head … in the truest sense of the word. Whether it was done by an overzealous fur trader, or a couple of assassins and treasure hunters, but they say her ghost is now wandering in the forest of French Fort in search of his head.
2. The lady in white
One of the most popular ghosts, which has been "seen" for several centuries. It is believed to be the ghost of a girl who committed suicide, and now she appears as an omen of death.

3. Olive Thomas
This silent film actress died at the age of 25. She accidentally drank mercury chloride, which was intended to treat her husband's chronic syphilis. It is said that her ghost sometimes appears in New Amsterdam, New York, flirts with men, and then disappears. Her legend is so ingrained in the theater that stage workers, leaving for the night, always say: "Bye, Olive."

5. Lady Rineham Hall
Lady Dorothy Walpole lived a terrible life with an incredibly evil husband. When he found out that she was having an affair on the side, he locked her in the house, where she died of smallpox. The guests of the house more than once said that they saw her ghost. One even claimed to have photographed her as she walked down the stairs in 1936, although many claim it is fake.
6. Screaming Jenny
Jenny was a poor woman who lived in a hut next to a railroad in a West Virginia town. Once she was warming herself by the fire, the skirt of her dress caught fire, and she could not put out the fire. Then she ran along the rails screaming and was hit by a train. She allegedly appears in the form of a fireball on every anniversary of her death.
7. Anna Boleyn
Like many wives of King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn ended her life on the guillotine when she was unable to give birth to a son to the king. Immediately after her death in 1536, many began to claim to have seen her ghost roaming the Tower.
8. Witch Bell
This tourist attraction in Tennessee is named after a family who allegedly died at the hands of a ghost named Kate Batts. In life, Batts and John Bell Sr. argued over land, but after her death, she obviously had not yet finished with him. The parents claimed that at night their children were attacked by someone invisible, and then the ghost poisoned John. At his funeral, they heard drunken singing, but they never found where it came from.
9. Madame Delphine LaLaurie
LaLaurie is considered one of America's first serial killers. She fled from the angry mob when a fire in her house revealed her terrible deeds: she tortured slaves locked in the attic. She managed to escape to Paris, but many believe that her spirit is doomed to wander the earth around her former home. They say her ghost was seen hovering over the children, and often in her hands was a whip.
10. Bloody Mary

They say that the Moss Beach Distillery Café, California, is often visited by the ghost of a lady in blue since Prohibition. Allegedly, this is a married woman who was killed while she was walking along the beach with her lover - a pianist from this cafe. The worker and guests have long claimed to have seen her search for her lover, picking up objects and making mysterious phone calls.
12. Kutisake-onna
The name of this legend, translated from Japanese, means "a woman with a torn mouth." The story originated in the 1970s and tells of the ghost of a woman with her face torn from ear to ear. According to legend, she waits until the child is left unattended to take off her medical mask and ask: "Am I beautiful?" If you answer no, she will kill you. If you answer yes, she will make you look like her.
13. Black Aggie
This eerie statue is found on the grave of General Felix Angus and his wife in a Druidic cemetery in Maryland. Numerous legends of ghosts, spirits and eyes shining in the dark have led many people to break into the grave to test these rumors. As a result, she was moved to Dolly Madison's mansion in Washington, DC.
