The 55-year-old Indonesian, who is the father of four children, spent 24 years - half of his life, constrained in a supine position. His body literally froze in one position after his car was involved in an accident.
He can still move his arms slightly with gnarled fingers, but his legs are like tree trunks, they are hard and do not bend at all. The patient's entire body is completely frozen and can be carried as if it were a dummy from a store.
At the same time, a man named Maz Tazul Munir never tried to go to doctors, relying only on alternative medicine, that is, herbs and drugs of a snitch. He is sure that only "God's will" can help his condition, because "God wanted him to live like this all this time."
Munir is looked after by his four sons, the youngest of whom was born just 20 days before the accident.
It all happened one night while Munir was driving his car on his way home from a friends party. A dog ran in front of his car and the man, trying not to run into it, lost control of the car.
He suffered greatly from injuries and bruises and lay in a hospital bed for several months without even being able to turn his head. Later, his condition worsened even more.
