Canadian professor Paul Kingsbury from British Columbia has spent the last two years working closely with ufologists, ghost hunters, bigfoot researchers, cryptozoologists, spiritualists and others interested in aspects of reality that not everyone believes in.
Kingsbury, who teaches cultural geography at Simon Fraser University, has been exploring why people from all over the world are interested in the supernatural. Now the Canadian is ready to share with the world community some of the results of his research and observations.
Kingsbury began this research in the spring of 2015. The professor accidentally stumbled upon a program in which the presenters argued that the existence of aliens, snow people and various descendants of their subtle world has not been proven by scientists, and therefore everyone who believes in all this anti-scientific rubbish can be safely considered a fool and infantile. Paul disagreed with television reporters that individuals who believe in paranormalism should be so easily blamed for dementia or schizophrenia, and decided to investigate this issue with the utmost care.
Belief in the supernatural depends on the person's personal experience
For many months, the specialist visited tours of haunted places, examined the sky with ufologists through telescopes, went on forest expeditions in order to find traces of the yeti, studied sites devoted to inexplicable phenomena, and so on. The Canadian claims that so far his work is only half completed, but he is already able to draw the first balanced conclusions on this issue.

Recently, a conference was held in Vancouver at which Paul said: “Researchers of anomalous phenomena are no different from other citizens in terms of socioeconomic status, educational level or psychological well-being. Most of them took up such activities, once faced with something inexplicable, such as a ghost. These people, as a rule, are driven by enthusiasm and passion, and they do not care about material gain. At the same time, many of them look at their hobby very sensibly. For example, mediums are convinced that they cannot convince not only all earthlings, but even a small part of them, of the existence of the other world, but they know that they are able to prove this to individual people who come to them in order to get answers to certain questions concerning beyond reality.
Kingsbury does not say whether he believes in something like this. However, the scientist notes that not so long ago he once felt something strange. It happened during one of the ghost hunts he visited. Paul with a group of enthusiasts examined the basement of the Vancouver Police Museum, where the corpses of crime victims were once examined. In the former morgue, the Canadian suddenly felt as if someone was looking at him from a dark, empty corner.
