Tens of thousands of tourists travel to the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona every year, but due to security measures, the vast majority of these visitors cannot get into one of the most treacherous and mysterious areas of the vast canyon. However, the research team was given exclusive access to the dangerous, inaccessible areas of the canyon and the team made an incredible discovery. They discovered a mysterious new organism.
A team of researchers from Arizona State University describes that exploring the naturally formed passages of the Grand Canyon is not for the faint of heart. The area of the canyon they explored is incredibly restrictive, and in some places there were very narrow stretches where it was difficult to crawl.
The area is considered incredibly dangerous, with constant risks of rock collapse and even earthquakes, so tourists are not allowed to cross it. However, despite all these risks and the extreme physical discomfort associated with the project, the researchers said it was worth it given their startling discovery.
When the explorers reached one of the inner caves, which were formed millions of years ago and may have never been visited by humans, they stumbled upon strange bright yellow and purple organisms. According to Bradley Lusk, a biotechnologist at Arizona State University, this is a completely new form of life that humans have never seen before. “It is interesting and exciting to visit places on Earth where no one has ever been. And not only to visit there, but also to see in these places what we have never seen,”he said.
The team is keen to study every organism from the colony, down to their genetic makeup. An organism that has managed to flourish in a completely barren landscape without water or without light, for millions of years, could possibly be used as “building blocks” in a new miracle drug.

At first, we all changed our physical condition. We began to feel better. We have become stronger and more resilient. It was amazing and we were thrilled to share it with each other. Then we began to see the same dream. A very strange dream. In it, these organisms are trying to tell us something and are calling us somewhere. We are now jointly dealing with this dream in order to understand its meaning. And today we discovered another oddity that began to happen to us. It defies any scientific explanation. As scientists, we are of course very interested in what will happen to us next, although it scares us. But we are scientists and we treat this as an experiment and research, which is being conducted by science and humanity for the first time."
