Anonim

The controversy about this case has not subsided for over 70 years. Some claim that it never happened, others refer to the testimonies of its participants …

During World War II, the US government worked on the secret Rainbow Project. The military tried to develop methods to hide their ships from enemy radars.

In October 1943, at the harbor of the Philadelphia military shipyard, experiments were carried out to conceal the destroyer Eldridge. It was supposed to create a powerful electromagnetic field that will surround the ship and make it difficult to detect. But things didn't go according to plan.

The dire consequences of the experiment

Experiment observers said that the ship was enveloped in a strange green fog, after which it disappeared from radar.

When the experiment was completed, witnesses and instruments saw the destroyer again.

But something terrible was happening on board the ship. Some of the sailors died, some went crazy, and some simply disappeared without a trace. Of the 181 crew members, only 20 remained safe and sound. Work on the "Rainbow" project was hastily completed.

Interest in business

The details of this case surfaced only in the 50s. At that time, the famous ufologist Morris Jessup received a letter describing this strange story. However, he soon died under very mysterious circumstances. Maybe his death was the price for the increased interest in this experiment?

Meanwhile, the history of "Eldridge" was overgrown with more and more details. Some of the surviving sailors began to share memories.

Two sailors said that as soon as they felt that something was wrong, they threw themselves overboard. However, instead of falling into the water, they moved 40 years ahead. There, they met the aged chief of the experiment, who said they were in a hyperspace corridor and asked the men to return to the ship and turn off the electromagnetic field generator. Only after they smashed the generator with the hooks, they could be at the starting point in time.

Of course, many did not believe this incredible story. But there was something curious about this story: the returning sailors said that Ronald Reagan would become president, and the United States would fight in Vietnam. How could they find out about this?

Did Einstein participate in the experiment?

The American authorities completely denied the existence of the experiment. However, there is evidence that in the summer of 1943, Albert Einstein did calculations for the US Navy, and from May to June 1943 he even served in the US Department of the Navy as a research assistant.

Nevertheless, the data on what Einstein was doing there is still classified. It is believed that he worked on the Philadelphia project.

According to Einstein's theory of relativity, the higher the speed, the slower time flows. As you know, cosmonauts and aircraft passengers are ahead of time by a fraction of a second.

According to the calculations of scientists from NASA, if the speed of the Shuttle was increased to 270,000 kilometers per second, then astronauts could travel 60,000 years into the future!

Einstein died in April 1955. As he wanted, the funeral took place in a place unknown to the public in the presence of only his closest friends. There is a legend that the manuscripts of his last works were buried with him.

As for the ship, it was sent to fight in the Mediterranean Sea, after which it was transferred to Greece. But, they say, he is now and then seen in different parts of the oceans. And every time under the US flag …
