Samson Motors has announced plans to launch its Switchblade flying machine next year. The three-wheeled model will be two-seater. She will be able to fly at altitudes up to 4 km at a speed of 320 km / h. The cost of the car will be about 120 thousand dollars.
The Switchblade takes off like an airplane, so it needs a runway. The car has folding wings. The developers have provided a parachute in case of unforeseen situations.
According to the developers, the car will be ready for sale in the spring of 2018.
The Switchblade is 5.1 m long, with the extended tail section - 6.2 m. On the ground, the car reaches speeds of up to 160 km / h.
The Switchblade is powered by a 1.6-liter V4 engine producing 90 hp.

Samson Motors plans to release three versions of the flying car: Snowbird (for cold climates), Trek (for heavy duty) and Aurora (combines the capabilities of the two previous versions).
The car currently uses unleaded gasoline, but the company is considering plans to make the model a hybrid or all-electric. The car has a 113 l tank.
