It happened on May 20, 1967 near the village of Falcon Lake in Canada. This story is documented by several sources at once, and therefore is of great importance for ufology.

Stefan Michalak was a witness to the UFO incident near Lake Falcon on the Ontario-Manitoba (Canada) border. The incident was investigated by a number of different organizations, including the police and the Canadian Air Force. The result of the investigation was the conclusion that there were no facts confirming or refuting the testimony of Mikhalak, although everyone considered his story to be reliable.

Falcon Lake is located in the south of Whitshell Park (Manitoba), on the shores of Lake Falcon. On May 19, 1967, amateur geologist Stefan Michalak arrived there from Winnipeg to explore quartz deposits near this village. He spent the night in a motel, and early on the morning of May 20, Michalak went deep into the park.

At about 12 noon, Michalak, who had already been researching local breeds near Falcon Lake for several hours, suddenly heard the cries of wild geese, which were clearly disturbed by something. Looking up, he saw two cigar-shaped objects in the sky emitting a reddish glow. One of the objects stopped in the air, while the second landed on a flat rock 50 meters from the geologist.

On closer inspection, he discovered that the objects were not cigar-shaped, but disc-shaped. The object that remained in the air hovered over the park for a while, and then suddenly flew away towards the west, changing its color from red to orange and gray in flight.

Michalak spent the next 30 minutes making a sketch of the object that sat on the ground. Upon landing, it also changed color from red to stainless steel with a golden glow around it (as noted by Michalak). The object was in the form of a classic "flying saucer", approximately 12 meters in diameter and 3.5 meters thick, with a dome approximately 1 meter high.

Some of the object's windows emitted a very bright glow. Michalak had to put on the welding goggles that he carried with him to protect his eyes from the shards of stone. He noted that a strong stream of warm air with a sulfur smell was coming from the object, and he also heard a noise similar to the noise of an electric motor and the whistle of intake air.

Then Michalak decided to approach the object by 15 meters. The entrance, measuring 60x90 cm, turned out to be open, and light was guessed inside. Michalak heard two voices inside the plate, similar to human ones. One is tall, the other is lower. The geologist was sure that he saw in front of him some kind of experimental apparatus belonging to the US Air Force, which happened to be on the territory of Canada.

So Michalak walked closer to the entrance and said in English: “Hey Yankee, what happened? Come out, let's try to fix your unit. " Then the voices died down, but Michalak did not wait for an answer. Then he decided to ask in Russian: "Do you speak Russian?" And again silence, he repeated the question in German, in Italian, in French and even in Ukrainian language. And all to no avail.

The fact is that during the war Mikhalak served as an intelligence officer, so he knew many languages and was well versed in military technology. But he had never encountered anything like it before. In the end, curiosity got the better of fear, and he looked inside the machine. There he saw a panel with many indicators, turning on and off in a random order, like a computer at the time, beams of light horizontally and diagonally.

The wall of the object was found to be approximately 40 cm thick. Suddenly, three panels blocked the entrance to the apparatus from different sides, but Michalak managed to remove his head from the hatch. From the outside, the object looked polished, without any seams. Michalak touched the surface with a gloved hand, but quickly pulled it back as the glove began to melt from the heat.

The UFO suddenly turned its other side, and in front of Michalak there was something like a ventilation grill measuring 20x15 cm, with holes 1.5 cm in diameter. An exhaust of hot gas escaped from the grate, which set fire to Michalak's shirt. He quickly tore off his shirt, and when he came to himself from pain, he felt a breath of air caused by a UFO rising up.

As the craft disappeared into the sky, Michalak smelled burning electrical wiring mixed with the smell of sulfur. He returned to the place where he left his things and noticed that the needle of his compass was demagnetized. Then he returned to the UFO landing point, felt nausea and a headache.

The landing site turned out to be clean of branches and pebbles, but it was surrounded by a ring of mud, made of leaves and pine needles about 40 cm in diameter. He wanted to continue research, but felt weak, he eventually vomited, and the geologist returned to the motel … On the way, he was very sick, he had to stop to gain strength.

On the highway, he noticed a police car and tried to stop it. She drove past him, but returned a few minutes later. The policeman showed no interest in Michalak's report, saying that he had enough work to do without it, and rushed off.

And at 4 pm Michalak arrived at the motel, where he was told that the nearest doctor was located 60 km from Falcon Lake. He felt signs of poisoning and did not want to go further. The geologist decided to return to Winnipeg - home. He called the office of the Winnipeg Tribune, but there was hardly anyone on the office.

Wounds after meeting with UFOs looked like traces from radiation sickness

Listen to his "nonsense" did not, because he asked for help, and did not report a sensation. Then Michalak called his wife and son, and asked to meet him at the bus stop in Winnipeg. He arrived in the city at 10.15 pm, his son immediately went with him to the hospital.

Michalak's condition was investigated for two years, more than a dozen doctors from the USA and Canada studied him in detail. It has attracted the attention of a huge number of government and private organizations. Despite the scale of the investigations, the essence of what happened to Mikhalak has not been thoroughly established.

The doctors concluded the following:

1. Michalak is mentally healthy and not prone to delusions or hallucinations;

2. Michalak's blood tests revealed only a reduced number of lymphocytes;

3. Oval-shaped ulcers were found on Mikhalak's chest and abdomen, like burns, arranged in a grid (which corresponds to Mikhalak's testimony about a burn through a "ventilation grid"), 4. Michalak's condition improved 2 weeks after the incident, and health problems (including hair loss, lack of appetite, weight loss and weakness) continued for several months.

According to radiologist Horace Dudley, the Michalak story is a classic case of radiation sickness caused by a dose of 100-200 roentgens of gamma radiation.
