Chinese scientists announced that they had found the remains of the famous biblical Noah's ark - a ship that, according to legend, was built at God's direction to save Noah, his family, and the animals of the world from the Flood

Archaeologists have discovered the remains of a structure at an altitude of 4 thousand meters on Mount Ararat in Turkey. Hydrocarbon analysis showed that the materials from which the find was made were produced about 4 thousand 800 years ago.

“We are not one hundred percent sure that we are talking about the Ark, we are 99.9% sure of this,” a representative of the research group told reporters.

According to its structure, the found Ark consists of several rooms, in which, as it is assumed, were placed different types of animals. In the place where the wreckage was found, people do not live, therefore, scientists rule out the possibility that the find may be destroyed housing.

However, it is worth noting that various researchers have reported more than once about the discovery of the Ark, moreover, all these discoveries were made in different parts of the world. So, in 2006, American scientists announced that they had discovered an object similar to Noah's Ark in the Caspian mountains of Elburz in northwestern Iran.

Most seekers of Noah's ark believe that it is located on Mount Ararat. They support their theory, among other things, by the fact that the archives of the American intelligence store contain photographs of a strange object on the mountain, taken in the late 1950s, which was dubbed the “Ararat anomaly”. In 1997, representatives of the CIA publicly promised to declassify the pictures of Ararat, but so far they have not kept their word.

One of the most famous Ark searchers is the American astronaut James Irwin. In 1989, during another expedition to Ararat, he filmed an unusual brown object on videotape. After viewing it, a number of Western scholars suggested that the remains of Noah's ark are indeed on Ararat.

In January of this year, researcher Irving Finkel of the British Museum stated that the legendary Noah's Ark (or its prototype) did not look like a ship in the traditional sense, but, most likely, was something like a giant round cane raft. He came to this conclusion after being able to read the description of a ship escaping from the flood on a Babylonian clay tablet, which is estimated to be approximately 3,700 years old.

Meanwhile, the Turkish authorities do not confirm the statement of a group of Chinese scientists about the discovery of the remains of the biblical Noah's ark on Mount Ararat, the Hurriyet newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing the administration of the Agra province, where the legendary mountain range is located.
