Even researchers skeptical about UFOs agree that strange flying objects can be found on ancient canvases, clearly resembling "saucers" or rockets. These images are interpreted as a Divine phenomenon to people. It's no secret that in all religions of the world, deities descend from heaven: in Greek mythology - from Olympus, and in Egyptian - from the Sun. Therefore, it is not surprising that the heavenly signs depicted on ancient canvases are called differently by scientists-theologians and clergymen: the flying eye of God, the means of transportation of the gods or the manifestation of Divine light. Some believe that artists tried to convey natural phenomena in this way. We will refrain from our own interpretations, but let our own and your imagination draw their own conclusions. One of the most famous ancient UFO images is a fresco from a monastery in Kosovo.
In the Visoki Dečani monastery, right above the altar, there is the Crucifixion fresco dating back to around 1350. In the upper left and right corners of this piece of art, two flying objects are clearly depicted, in which there are humanoid beings. And on the canvas of the Florentine artist Sandro Botticelli, Mystical Christmas, 1501 (the original Italian name is Nativit mistica), there is a hut with angels hovering over it with olive branches in their hands. Looking closely, we notice that the angels are circling around a certain flying object. It is clear that ufologists call it something, a flying saucer.
Dutch artist Arent de Gelder painted a painting, The Baptising of Christ, in 1710. It depicts John the Baptist with Jesus on his knees, enveloped in powerful rays emanating from a spaceship descending from heaven.
Often in literature and on the Internet, the famous painting "Madonna with Saint John" (The Madonna with Saint Giovannino), dating back to the 15th century and attributed to the brush of the artist Domaine and Co Ghirlandaio, is mentioned. In this painting, to the right of the Madonna, there is a flying saucer-like object exploding into many small particles.

In his article “UFOs as Rumors,” Jung gives an interesting example: “In this variety, rumors were akin to the psychological phenomenon of the great panic that erupted in New Jersey before World War II, when the radio drama of H. G. Wells's story of the Martian invasion of New York caused a real mass exodus with numerous traffic accidents. Obviously, this program touched the listeners' hidden feelings associated with the threat of imminent war."
It is believed that the first information about UFOs came to our country in the last century from America. (Although this is not entirely true) At first, it was believed that people who saw the "plates" were distinguished by mental imbalance - whether they were airplane pilots or ordinary peasants working in their gardens. Random information was leaked to the press, and the main information was kept secret. The first research centers to collect information about UFOs also appeared in America. To believe or not to believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life forms - everyone decides for himself. But when choosing which of the camps to join, it would be nice to look at ancient icons with mysterious images that are extremely reminiscent of UFOs …
