Quantums will flow from one Chinese to another … but the difference?
Sensation, however! The world's first experiment on quantum teleportation at a distance of more than 1.2 thousand kilometers will soon be carried out by Chinese scientists. Sly Chinese commies will learn to disappear correctly and appear again with an imperturbable air: “And what have we to do with it?..” That, however, they can do too well … But we are talking about science ?!
For their ambitious teleportation goals, a Chinese satellite with all the necessary equipment and a portrait of Mao Tse Tung, the "Great Helmsman," will be launched into Earth's orbit.
The essence of the experiment is the transmission of quantum signals between the Moon and the Earth using a pair of entangled (entangled) particles, which, even at a considerable distance from each other, retain information about the state of their partner.
The equipment required for this will be delivered to low-earth orbit by the Chinese Long March 2D launch vehicle. Its launch is planned from the largest cosmodrome of the PRC - Jiuquan, built in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia.
With the help of the new satellite, Chinese scientists have planned to conduct a number of other quantum experiments. Do not plan to stop there!
One of the most daring Chinese plans is considered to be the experience of implementing quantum teleportation between earth and space over a distance of more than 1.2 thousand kilometers by stations in Deling and Lijiang (or Nanshan). For this purpose, a land communication line with a length of about a thousand kilometers has already been built. At the first stage of the experiments, scientists are going to test the reliability of the cryptographic connection between Beijing and Vienna, which will be mediated by a near-earth satellite. At the second stage, scientists through a satellite will carry out quantum teleportation of photons between stations in Deling and in Lijiang (or Nanshan).
The distance between these points exceeds 1.2 thousand kilometers. The plans of Chinese scientists include experiments on transmitting signals between the Moon and the Earth. The applications of the technology being tested are, of course, data protection and military interests. China previously planned to launch a satellite in June 2016.
