Ufologists scrupulously examine stone deposits in photographs from Mars, trying to find among them unusual artifacts that may have been the work of ancient Martian inhabitants. This time, a recent image taken by the Curiosity rover revealed a stone structure resembling a chair from a control panel or observation post.
It may well be an ordinary piece of rock, destroyed in the process of wind erosion, but by its outlines it looks somehow unnatural among its fellows.
This stone "chair" has regular geometric shapes and looks symmetrical. Its dimensions are very small, perhaps about 20 centimeters or less, so it might very well be suitable for a small child.
To the right of it, just below, there is another interesting structure. It also differs from ordinary stones in its rounded shape.
Could this be proof of the existence of an ancient civilization on Mars? Or is it just a sedimentary rock that accidentally has a familiar shape? It is unlikely that we will now find out about this, since the rover has already left this area.
