The UFO moored to the comet hit the lens of the Rosetta probe, which is now next to it.
It seems that the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko (67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko) is being studied not only by earthlings. It is very much like a "flying saucer" object, photographed by the heavenly wanderer on September 10, 2014.
The picture was taken by a navigation camera (NAVCAM) mounted on the Rosetta space probe, an automated vehicle of the European Space Agency (ESA), which is now near the comet. At the time of the survey, the probe was located 27.8 kilometers from the comet.
Ufologists were the first to notice a mysterious white object
On the UFO - "the rather bright object seen near the center of the slope in the upper right." - noted ESA specialists. And they commented on its appearance on the site.
The gist of the comment: "We ourselves are curious about what it is." In other words, the ESA did not identify the object. It was only suggested that it could be a piece of ice that broke away from a comet in the process of gas and dust eruptions that had already begun. Maybe a defect in the picture. At the same time, the experts promised to take a closer look at the object - the "phenomenon", as they called it. And they assured that they would report the results in the coming weeks. Or months.

And ufologists have already discerned that the shape of the UFO is disc-shaped, it itself is metallic, which makes it seem so bright - it shines in the sun. And in the picture it looks white. The diameter of the disc is about 50 meters. It is located not on the surface of the comet, but just above it. The object is clearly casting a shadow.
In November of this year, the lander "Philae" will be landed on the comet, which will actually be engaged in the research of the heavenly wanderer. One of the five proposed landing sites is right next to a mysterious object. That is, it is possible that ESA specialists will keep their word and really deal with the “phenomenon”.

Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, which is about 4 kilometers across, makes a complete revolution around the Sun in 6.5 years. Now she is 522 million kilometers from the star. On August 13, 2015, it will approach it at a minimum distance of 185 million kilometers - it will properly fluff its tail. In the meantime, it is visible in the northern celestial hemisphere in powerful telescopes. A gas and dust cloud has already appeared around the core heated by the Sun. It extends about 100 kilometers from the core.
