The Heavenly Wanderer will be visible through binoculars.
The Moscow Planetarium announces: “On June 4, 2017, comet C / 2015 V2 (Johnson) will pass at a distance of 121,325,600 km (0.811 AU) from Earth. The comet will not be visible to the naked eye, but it will be possible to observe it through binoculars or a telescope”.

Astronomers have already photographed a heavenly guest
Astronomers advise looking southward - looking for a comet should be in the constellation Bootes just to the left of the star Arcturus. The guest will appear as a green blurry speck. With the naked eye, it will be visible throughout the Northern Hemisphere high above the horizon.

The comet was discovered in 2015 by the South African astronomer Ernest Leonard Johnson in images taken during the Catalina Sky Survey. Its size is approximately 6 kilometers. The earth is not threatened, it moves in a hyperbolic orbit.
On June 12, Comet Johnson will approach the Sun at a minimum distance of 245,344,000 kilometers and will fly on its way.
