Scientists today say what ancient mystics have argued for thousands of years - that the universe can have a consciousness of its own.
According to a new concept called "panpsychism," the universe may be capable of consciousness. This theory could radically change the way scientists view reality.
As Awarenessact.com writes, “Scientists have been working for quite some time to understand the universe, where it came from, and why we are here. However, they still often stopped there. The scientist responsible for the new understanding of the universe is Grigory Matloff, and his ideas are shocking, to say the least.
According to Matloff, a physicist at New York Technical College, humans can be like the rest of the universe in substance and spirit. The publication Futurism reports that the "field of protoconsciousness" can spread throughout space. Basically, in terms of lamens (approx. Newscom.md - magic symbols), the entire cosmos can be self-aware.
Another proponent of panpsychism is Christoph Koch of the Allen Brain Institute. He says biological organisms are conscious because when they approach a new situation, they can change their behavior to prevent negative developments in the situation. Because of this point of view, he tries to understand if it is possible to measure the level of consciousness that manifests being.
To do this, he will conduct a series of experiments, including one that involves connecting the brains of two mice together using communication networks to see if information will flow between them, as in a fused and integrated system.
“The only dominant theory we have in consciousness is that consciousness is associated with complexity - the ability of a system to act out of its own state, and determine its own destiny,” Koch says. “The theory is that it can go to very simple systems. In principle, some purely physical systems that are not biological or organic can also be conscious."
Be that as it may, panpsychism is only in an experimental phase. However, if scientists can prove their theory, it could shake the world of science. Do you think the universe is conscious?
