An eyewitness from Georgia claims to have seen several US Air Force planes accompanying a red-orange balloon flying about 200 meters above sea level.
In his report to MUFON, an eyewitness reports that on February 21, 2017 at 10 p.m. he took a telescope into his garden to observe the stars and heard the sound of planes flying at low altitude from the north.
“I turned to see what it was and saw a reddish-orange ball or sphere about 10 meters in diameter with a row of blinking white lights in the center, moving slowly towards me,” and then he saw the UFOs being pursued six fighters.
“One plane was 150 meters west of the red sphere, and the other - at the same distance to the east of it, four more planes were walking side by side behind it,” - an eyewitness found it all very strange. "They flew very low and slowly right over my head."
After the planes flew over the red sphere, they turned around and again found themselves behind it. The entire escort continued to move southward and soon disappeared behind the trees.
The case was investigated by Jeremy Haslem, director of the MUFON Georgia branch and operative Brion Traynor, who wrote in their report: “The fact that the 10-meter red-orange balloon was accompanied by quite recognizable jets raised several questions:“Did the pilots of the jet planes know what kind of ball were they accompanying? " and "What were their goals?"
