Scientific researchers have come close to defeating the old age of the human body. As it turned out, soon a drug will be created that can stop aging and allow people to stay young and energetic for many years. This "elixir of youth" already exists, but so far it is being tested only on mice.
In an experiment, elderly mice were given this drug, and they began to move faster, live longer and grow new hair. As a result of research, it turned out that the new drug is able to remove cells accumulated there during aging from the skin of rodents.
Scientists have found that due to proteins that are produced by old cells that have lost the ability to divide in the human body, neighboring "healthy" cells begin to sink into a daze. As a result of this influence, normal cells, and then organs, wear out.
Scientists at the Mayo Clinic experimentally removed such worn-out cells from mice. After these procedures, the rodents became "younger" and their life expectancy increased by 25%. This means that it is possible to stop the aging of the human body with the help of a new drug. But it is not yet known whether such a procedure is capable of saving from age-related diseases.
