The identity of a person who decided to survive his own death in a state of cryogenic freezing was not disclosed. It is only known that this is a middle-aged man who died of a heart attack. Thus, Russia has already been cryopreserved: 13 people, one cat, three dogs and two birds.
To wait for the time when science can revive the frozen, the cryopreserved man will be in a special storage located in the north of the Moscow region: in the village of Alabushevo near Zelenograd. Together with him, 12 more patients await the resurrection: men and women, Muscovites and residents of the regions, Russians and citizens of neighboring states.
During their lifetime, all of them entered into an agreement with the only company in our country that provides services for cryopreservation of the body or neurosaving of the head.

Freezing the body until better times costs 30 thousand dollars, the head (brain) - 10 thousand. This is for now. Prices, according to representatives of the frozen company, will change soon. Saving the body for posterity will become a little more expensive. This is due to new and, accordingly, more expensive equipment. Right now, in Alabushevo, they are finishing the installation of a huge "thermos" called "Anabiosis-1", where the patients will be transferred.

They don't really think their patients are dead. Although it is possible to undergo this procedure only in one case: after the onset of legal death. And nothing else.
By the way, about the terms. "Freezing", "thermos" - these are common definitions. "Thermos" is a dewar vessel in which the bodies of patients are placed upside down in liquid nitrogen. At the same time, people, of course, are not literally frozen, as we freeze food in freezers. After cardiac arrest and death, it is important not only to quickly cool the body, but to "displace" the blood, to introduce certain drugs into the tissues. In particular, cryoprotective mixtures. Otherwise, the resulting ice crystals will fatally destroy the cells of the body.

According to the general director of the cryocompany Danila Medvedev, the economic crisis and abnormal heat in Moscow did not affect his patients in any way. There were no power failures, and their equipment should not be confused with electric coolers.
Even if the “end of the world” occurs as a result of power outages in the storage facility, this will not affect the temperature in the “thermos” Dewar. Liquid nitrogen evaporates very slowly over weeks.
Refrigerants in Moscow have doubled in price due to the heat, but the financial position of the company, according to Medvedev, is quite stable. Moreover, by increasing the cost of cryopreservation of the body, cryospecialists promise to reduce the cost of brain preservation.
Cryopreservation services in Russia have been available since autumn 2005. Our newspaper in 2007 already wrote about this company. Then the number of frozen people was four. Over the past three years, their number has increased to 13, plus a few dozen more people have signed contracts. Sparsely, actually. Especially when you consider that the cost of the service is quite comparable to an elite funeral. Despite the fact that the most important dead of the capital, as we already wrote, prefer the cold: it is now fashionable to install air conditioners in coffins. Then why? Few believe in the possibility of resurrection?
“That's not the point,” Medvedev is convinced. - For us, this is an innovation that we have to get used to. And cryopreservation in Russia is not positioned as a service for VIPs. We do not have a grand ceremony, and there are no marble sarcophagi in our vault.
