This event took place in Hungary in 2002. American researcher of mysterious creatures Lon Strickler reports about him on his website.
“I have heard this story many times from my father, who was an eyewitness to it,” writes the author of the post, “And first I want to describe the details that will bring readers up to date.
My father lived most of his life in an area with a dense forest and, according to my grandmother (his mother), it was quite normal when he went for a walk in the woods, and when he was about 6 years old he was completely "lost" for 2-3 days in forest.
When my grandmother realized that my father's passion for the forest could not be overcome, they allowed him to walk wherever he wanted and he did just that. He still loves hiking in the forest with overnight stays, hunting and fishing.
All this I say to the fact that my father knows the forest and its inhabitants very well, for him there was nothing strange and unusual there. He knows every sound of a forest beast and every song of a forest bird. He immediately recognizes any beast at a glance.
And here is the story itself, which happened in 2002. As I wrote above, I heard it from my father many times and always with a great deal of skepticism. I was sure that my father had just composed to entertain and scare us children.
However, later, when he retells the story over and over again, I began to feel something different, his words made me nervous and I felt that this was not just a fiction. I'm starting to trust my father.
So that day my father went into the forest with his dachshund dog trained to hunt small game. He was walking along the path dividing the forest into two parts, when he suddenly realized that the dog running in front of him came back and hid behind his legs, as if afraid of something.

When my father looked ahead. he noticed something moving behind the bushes. It was so high that at first he thought it was a rider on a horse. Then he saw only the radiance of his eyes and it was a level higher than the height of even a very tall person.
According to the father, these eyes were as big as tennis balls and they carefully examined everything around, since the intensity of their radiance changed when it turned its head.
And when the father froze and stood, looked at this creature, it swam towards him from the thickets and it turned out that it was moving, levitating above the ground at a height of about half a meter.
It was a human-like creature, only very thin and dressed in some kind of dressing gown in such a way that it was impossible to see practically anything from the body except the head and eyes. And the eyes were of an incomprehensible color - a mixture of brown, red and gray.
The creature did not make a single sound, and my father then decided that it looked very much like the Dementor from the Harry Potter movie (two years after that meeting, the movie "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" was released).
The creature stood still for a while and, just as quietly, then moved further along its path and disappeared behind the bushes. After that, my father immediately went home, he did not want to meet this creature again.
However, the next day he again went into the forest, as he wanted to look for his tracks. He spent many hours in that part of the forest, but found nothing at all that would indicate the presence of a strange 'Dementor' in the woods."
