The building in which the Samara House-Museum of V. I. Lenin is located was built in 1885. It belonged to the merchant Ilya Alekseevich Rytikov. On the first floor of the wooden mansion there was a “Shop for the Sale of Russian and Foreign Grape Wines to Take Away,” and the owner's family lived there.
And the entire second floor - six small rooms and a kitchen - the Rytikovs rented out to tenants. It was here that Lenin's family lived for three years, from 1890 to 1893, and now the ghost of the leader of the revolution "comes here" periodically.
So, in 1890, Maria Alexandrovna, 20-year-old Vladimir Ilyich, the youngest Masha, Mitya, Anna with her husband Mark Elizarov and his nephew Zhenya settled in the Rytikovs' house … And although no tragic events happened here, they say that today Vladimir Ilyich sometimes visits his Samara apartment …
It all started in 1986, when the museum was preparing for a major restoration: they drilled, hollowed out, removed the cladding from the walls. Apparently, this unusual noise in the patriarchal house woke up the spirit. Then the office of the head of the museum was located on the second floor, and just below it was a service room for staff.
Parallel telephones were in the rooms. Every day at about five o'clock in the evening, when the authorities went home, the phone in the lower room began to ring characteristically, as if someone were dialing a number on another device.
At first, the watchmen rushed to the second floor, unlocked the office … and did not find anyone there. Gradually they got used to the phone. However, the ghost did not like it and, having lost its attention, it began to walk along the corridors of the second floor, stomping loudly on the wooden floor.
After walking for a walk, the ghost began to put things in order - to change places of objects and even furniture. So, for example, it turns out that according to the rules of family life since the late 19th century, the matrimonial bed should have been in the wife's room, and in the husband's office - only a sofa for daytime relaxation. But the ministers of the museum were ordered to install two separate beds in the rooms of the leader's sister and her husband.

The ghost did not like this categorically: he began to draw the attention of the museum attendants to the problem that worried him. And now every morning the museum workers found the same picture: Mark Timofeevich's bed was all upside down.
And sometimes some unknown force even moved the bed from its place. Moreover, it stopped as soon as a large bed was placed in the room of Lenin's sister.
But the spirit did not rest on this … Those who are at least a little familiar with the biography of Vladimir Ilyich will probably remember that his mother Maria Alexandrovna baked wonderful pies. And in the museum on the birthday of the leader or on the day of his death, it began to smell of baked goods! And on the day of the death of Vladimir Ilyich's sister Olga, the museum sometimes smells of lilies of the valley - the girl loved these flowers very much …
True, it is not entirely clear whose spirit has settled in the museum. They say that this is the spirit of Vladimir Ilyich himself, while others argue that this is the spirit of his mother or sister … Whatever it is, there is no answer to this poll yet.
