Contactology (the science of space contacts) has a long history. At all times, people constantly recorded phenomena unusual at first glance. The deeper a person penetrated the secrets of the world around him, the more stunning pictures opened up to his admiring gaze. And then, disdaining the dogmas imposed on him, at his own peril and risk, he rushed to explore the Unknown. For it is impossible to enclose a person in a rigid and tight framework of generally accepted opinions and views.
Ufology knows many examples of cosmic contacts that have occurred and are occurring in various parts of the world. Karelia is no exception. From a fairly extensive stream of information related to UFO sightings, we bring to the attention of our readers two very curious cases of contact with enlonauts that occurred at different times, but were thoroughly investigated and confirmed by official documents.
The first case occurred in the summer of 1998 in the village of Luchevoe, which is thirty kilometers from Petrozavodsk.
Igor Nikolaevich Petukhov was working on his garden plot, when suddenly his attention was attracted by a gradually growing metallic sound. He looked around and saw, about forty meters away, a bluish luminous "strip" hanging in the air. She slowly moved towards the summer resident, which caused him some anxiety. Igor Nikolayevich put down his tool and went behind the greenhouse, near which he worked, in order to hide from a strange object. However, a few seconds later this "something" appeared from around the corner of the greenhouse, and Igor Nikolaevich was surprised to see that in front of him was a humanoid creature about 25-30 centimeters tall.
His first thought was the desire to run, but Igor Nikolaevich felt that his body was constrained by some kind of force and he could not take a step. His hands seemed to be laid behind his back. The humanoid creature flew up to Igor Nikolaevich and hovered at a distance of about three meters from his head. It was a "little man" (as Igor Nikolaevich himself called him) of proportional build, dressed in a tight-fitting overalls. On his head is a black cap (like scuba divers). The head is small, about five centimeters in diameter, the eyes are black, the mouth is practically without lips, a barely distinguishable nose. During all the silent contact, the "little man" made vertical vibrations (within 0.5 meters). According to Igor Nikolaevich, as soon as the "little man" hovered over his head, his fear immediately disappeared, and only "kind curiosity" appeared.
Fifteen minutes later, the "little man" suddenly flew away. The next day, while working in the garden, Igor Nikolaevich saw two "little men". The same procedure of silent mutual observation was repeated again. On the third day, Igor Nikolaevich again saw a "little man" hovering in the air above the porch, looking around. The summer resident had the impression that the "little man" was looking for him, and as soon as their gazes met, the little stranger flew up to Igor Nikolaevich, hovered over his head, and after about ten minutes he left.
That was the end of it. After the events described, Igor Nikolaevich began to note some changes in himself, officially confirmed by his relatives and the attending physician. After the "contact", his heart attacks stopped, which had become constant over the past several years. He became much less susceptible to stress overloads, there was an internal balance and self-depth.
In our opinion, this event belongs to the category of real contacts and fits into the general context of the hypothesis of undersized enlonauts.

On April 27, 1995, the inhabitants of the Nelgomozero village witnessed an interesting event. At about 22:00 a bright, fiery ball appeared from the side of the lake. It flew slowly in front of the amazed residents and hovered over the "club slide" - a platform where young people gather, almost in the very center of the village. The balloon flew completely silently at a height of about fifty meters, brightly illuminating the houses. He hung for a minute, then slowly sank down onto the "club slide" and went out, merging with the darkness. About ten minutes later, a bright glow suddenly appeared in that place, a strong hum was heard and a smaller ball flew out, which flew away at high speed. A few minutes later, fireworks appeared on the "club slide": multi-colored sparks flew up to a height of ten meters, making a loud noise. The light from the fireworks was so bright that it was impossible to see what was its source.
Suddenly, against the background of this glow, a humanoid figure appeared, hanging in the air. The figure is rather strange, for it had neither legs nor head, and its size corresponded to a three-year-old child. She swayed regularly from side to side and suddenly flew straight towards numerous eyewitnesses, which frightened them very much. According to some observers, it flew about two hundred meters and disappeared as suddenly as it appeared.
When the figure disappeared, the fireworks stopped, the lights went out, but after a few minutes there was a terrible whistle, roar, the wind rose, and a brightly lit elliptical object, the size of a car, took off from the "club slide". During takeoff, in front of witnesses, he knocked down several tops of the pine trees surrounding the "club slide". Behind him, eyewitnesses saw something resembling a chassis. Having flown in an arc of about five hundred meters, the object suddenly hovered again at the edge of the village and sank behind the old pigsty.
There was complete silence, which lasted no more than fifteen minutes, and then a deafening rumble was heard again, and the object, gaining height, flew away with great speed towards the forest.
At the site of the first and second alleged UFO landings, traces of three horseshoe-shaped supports and a burnt area between them were found. The 1997 expedition collected several branches of pine trees growing around the "club slide"; their analysis showed abnormal growth patterns. According to the conclusion of A. D. Volkov, an employee of the Institute of Forestry of the Karelian Scientific Center, the anomaly is that the needles grow not from whorls on the branches, but right between them and gradually turn into shoots - “it’s like a sixth finger would grow on your hand ". The whorls themselves are clean, "alive", not damaged by any radiation or temperature.
All who have seen this strange object and the phenomena associated with it are unanimous that it was something that is completely beyond their life experience, and cannot give an explanation for what happened.
