More than two centuries ago, a strange incident occurred in France, which modern researchers consider as proof that UFOs visited our planet at that time.
The documents found in the old archives first aroused the interest of specialists - ufologists, and in 1975 the incident was widely publicized.
In 1790 in Normandy, near the city of Alencon, an alien spaceship crashed. Then many residents saw a huge flaming ball fall from the sky. But in some incomprehensible way, everyone soon forgot about it. The incident would have remained lost in the past, if not for the Italian ufologist Antonio Fenoglio.
Antonio, who researched paranormal, supernatural and unexplained events, studied documents at the French Academy of Sciences in the 1960s. There he found a police report from 1790, written by a certain Libeuf, who was sent to Alencon after reporting a strange incident. The locals spoke as if something had fallen from the sky in the vicinity of the town. Liebeef arrived, interviewed witnesses and drew up a detailed report, archived and forgotten.
In the text that Fenoglio discovered, it was said that the mayor of the city, the doctor and many other residents of the city went to study the scene. There they found a huge ball that looked whole. When people approached him, a man came out to them. He was wearing a tight-fitting suit. And at first he even tried to talk to people, and then abruptly rushed to the side of the forest.
His example was followed by people and very helpful. The object that fell from the sky exploded, and debris scattered around. Soon, parts of the mysterious ball burned down, turning into a gray powder. People tried to find the mysterious alien, but the search did not lead to anything.
Jacques Vallee, a renowned astronomer who is also interested in the UFO phenomenon, also spoke about the existence of this report. Vallee believes that the events in Alençon are similar to those that were already recorded around the world in the twentieth century.
How much one can trust Fenoglio remains a question. Liebef's report last appeared in 2006, when it was brought into storage at the French Academy of Sciences. Soon after that, information appeared that the document was a forgery.

But there are supporters of a different opinion, claiming that a more detailed study of this document and an additional search in the archives, which may contain other records confirming the incident, are required.
