Express.co.uk in an article for March 9 (publication time around 15:00 local time) reports that on March 8-9, a series of earthquakes occurred on Etna (an active stratovolcano located on the east coast of Sicily, near the cities of Messina and Catania).
According to Express.co.uk, citing the local press and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology of Catania (INGV), on March 8, within 5 minutes, there were 3 seismic shocks of 3.3, 2.8 and 2.5, respectively, which panicked the residents of the city of Catania. located on the coast just south of Etna.
The focus of the seismic event was, as Express.co.uk writes, "4 miles north of Ragalna, a small commune southeast of Palermo."

We went to the site of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology of Catania (INGV), where we understood everything for a very long time, since we had never seen a more crooked seismological site in our life. It reflects the national indifference of the Sicilians or the degree of development of local seismology - it's hard for us to say, but we quickly found the mistake of the Express.co.uk translators.
On the southern slope of Etna, there is a town called Paterno, near which there was an earthquake center, so, obviously, Express.co.uk made a mistake with the translation. But these are trifles compared to what we saw:

As far as can be judged from this map, Etna recorded one earthquake on March 9 (highlighted in red), 5 earthquakes on March 8, and more than a dozen between March 8 and February 28. The magnitude is everywhere below 3.0.
Since the engine for the National (!) Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology of Catania was apparently doing some kind of retired bored mafioso, in order to understand what was happening there, we turned to the US Geological Survey website for help. According to their data, nothing happens on Etna. At all.
We understand that Express.co.uk is not the EU Seismological Gazette, therefore we understand Palermo. But if people read the Italian press, where they write that there was panic in Catania, then there really were tremors, and not less than 4.0, even pets do not panic with a lower magnitude. And there is nothing about this neither on USGS, nor on INGV, where only imperceptible tremors are reflected. This is all very strange.
It is very possible that Etna is preparing for the next eruption, but seismologists do not advertise this in order not to create panic. And we are not talking about the panic of local residents, but about a global panic.

Seismologists must constantly work there, monitoring the situation not because “some Casey said something,” but because the eruption of Etna will cause many problems for Italy in general and Sicily in particular. But where are these observations? The Italians write that the earth was shaking in Catania and there was a panic in the city, and seismographs do not write anything about this. How can this be?
Most likely, the information is simply hidden and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology of Catania exists and, as it were, works only to divert the eyes, which the situation with the earthquake on Etna on March 8-9 has clearly demonstrated. And at the moment something is happening on Etna. It is possible that the very eruption predicted by Edgar Cayce begins.
