The story of the farmer William Bosak is unique in its kind, this is a very rare case when cryptozology and ufology collide.
It happened on December 2, 1974 at 10.30 pm near the dairy farm of 68-year-old William Bosak in the northwestern part of Polk County, Wisconsin, USA. Bossak was driving home that evening in his car from a local cooperative meeting, and about a mile from his farm, he saw something on the side of the road.
The object did not move and was very high in height, about 2.5-3 meters. Its surface did not glow, but reflected the headlights directed at it, and the object was shaped like a clam shell or a bell, but at the top of it there was a transparent part, as if made of glass. And in it was a creature that raised its hands high.
Bossak describes this creature as resembling a human, but not very human in descriptions. The head of the creature was covered with coarse short hair, but the face area was bare, there was no beard, and the chin was hairless. The creature's eyes were large and bulging, and the ears were very large and resembled those of a calf.
His body, at least the part that Bosak saw, was also covered with brown hair, including his arms. And it didn't look like the creature was wearing fur clothes. There was nothing around the neck that looked like a collar or other signs that the hair was only part of the clothing.
Other parts of the creature's body could not be seen, and the bottom of the "ship" was shrouded in fog. Seeing all this, the farmer was very frightened, but the creature looking at him was also apparently frightened, as the facial expressions of his face showed.
When Bosak drove past the object, he slowed down the car to see the creature, but as soon as he saw it, he immediately gasped and drove home as quickly as possible. At the same time, when he moved away from the object, his car seemed to have weakened headlights, their light became less bright. He also heard a strange sound engulfing his entire car, like the rubbing of tree branches.

Returning home, he tried to see (through binoculars) the section of the road where the object was located, but the fog hid the entire area. The next morning he returned to the same place, but there was nothing there.
For a month, Bosak did not say anything to anyone about what he saw, not even his wife and children. But later he decided to tell and his story was even published in a local newspaper.
After that, two researchers of anomalous phenomena from the APRO society came to him and they found out that the farmer Bosak is known by the local people as an honest man with a good reputation. He has never been seen spreading fictions and jokes of this kind. Bosak himself even demanded that all non-believers test him on a lie detector and he would show that he had not invented anything.
Later, this case was included in many collections of paranormal stories under names like "Yeti - UFO Pilot" and the like. Bosak himself was sure that the creature he saw came from another dimension.
After a while, Bosak told reporters that after that incident he was afraid for a long time to go outside late at night and at night. In addition, the story about that meeting was supplemented by Bosak in such a detail that not far from the supposed meeting with the Yeti, local mowers found a so-called crop circle in the field.
