This story happened exactly 8 years ago, in July 2006 in the village of Bolshiye Gribovichi, Zhovkivskyi district, Lviv region. Nazar and Ulyana Golovchaki got married in the local church of Saints Kozma and Demyan. They were married by father Mikhail Krumshin. Photo and video filming was carried out by the videographer Rostislav Gizhiy … Very soon this wedding was talked about all over Ukraine and abroad.
During the wedding, nothing unusual and strange was noticed in the church. But a week later, the newlyweds were brought photos and videos from the wedding. The operator immediately warned about things he did not understand: “Look closely, in the church there is some kind of light in the form of a human figure. That I do not know. Indeed, the video at the altar clearly showed a white translucent figure bending over Ivanka's daughter-in-law's grandmother. The strange figure was noticed in wedding photographs. This mystical and ghostly silhouette has been captured from different angles.
Reflecting on the “ghost video”, the groom recalled the words of his late grandmother Yaroslava Furta: “The grandmother promised during her lifetime that she would come to my wedding,” says Nazar Golovchak. - She said: if I am sick, the children will take them to church. And if I die, then I will return from the other world. The wife believes that the white figure is the soul of her late grandfather Joseph, he dreamed of her right after the wedding and said: "I saw your wedding, you were very good."
In search of answers, the newlyweds showed the video to the priest Mikhail Krumshin and after receiving a comment from the Holy Father about the ghost for some reason they immediately forgot and talked about the ghostly silhouette in the church began to be avoided. The village priest himself is reluctant to comment on the event, but does not deny it either: “A special commission should have investigated whether it is a miracle or not. In our incomprehensible world, everything can be. The human soul is eternal, and who knows what form it can have. It is often said that they feel the presence of the dead. Probably, their souls want to warn of danger or joy. Or perhaps they just demand prayer and remind of themselves. For example, in the 16th century a clairvoyant healer Agathia lived in our village, it is possible that her soul is visible in the photographs."
And soon after these mysterious events, others began to occur.
“Two weeks after the wedding of Nazar and Ulyana, our church was robbed,” recalls the priest Mikhail Krumshin. - They knocked out the stained-glass windows, stole 13 thousand hryvnia donations. I am inclined to think that the healer Agathia, who once lived in our area, wanted to warn us about this event. During her lifetime, she donated a lot to the church.
And the next Christmas, grandmother Ivanka died, the one near whom the ghost was sitting.

First of all, this video was examined for willful falsification. As a result of such studies, it was found that there are no traces of installation. At the second stage, optical effects were investigated that could potentially create a similar effect. The version of "flare" was considered in most detail. But there were also inconsistencies. For example, the object is illuminated from all sides - "circular illumination", but the object does not cast a shadow, it is not on the woman sitting next to it, or elsewhere. Another interesting fact is that all people in the frame identified themselves, and the "flare" was superfluous …

The version of "light exposure" seems to be the most plausible, in a church it can be created by many objects that reflect light: icons, gilding, mosaic glass, etc. Nevertheless, the existing inconsistencies, which became the subject of controversy in various discussions of the "ghost from Gribovichi", in fact, did not put a fat point in this paranormal event until now.

Soon outside of Ukraine they started talking about the "ghost from Gribovichi". For example, it was discussed on the Chilean TV channel "Lar ed" in 2013. Chilean paranormal specialist Salfate commented on the "ghost" during the "Mananeros de La Red" program. True, for some reason the Chileans were presented with a "Ukrainian ghost", like the Athenian, filmed in a Catholic church during a religious ceremony (!). Mainly two "paranormal" versions were discussed: either it is a ghost, or the Virgin Mary herself!

After the story of the "ghost from Gribovichi" became popular in the media, the direct participants in those events (newlyweds, priest, etc.), tired of popularity, began to avoid any comments, turning the topic into a "taboo".
