Video: Why are humans so different from other animals? 2024, May
Anonim

It is known that when Kipling invented Mowgli, he was based on facts that he heard about and that took place in India.

However, as is often the case in literary works, the story of the jungle hero only very remotely resembles the real situation with such people. That is, the author only took advantage of the plot.

In fact, Mowgli could not be so human. This is simply not possible, and this is obvious due to many factors that will be discussed below. And although we all love this hero and still romantically perceive such adventures, in life everything is not only different, but generally much tougher and sadder. These are not even people who grew up in the forest with animals. They are not even human beasts. The most accurate word they can be called is simply beasts.

The myth of the intelligence of such creatures debunks a simple fact: a person can learn to speak only up to 6 years old. If he does not master speech before this time, then he simply physically will never be able to speak. It turns out that if a child gets into the forest with animals under the age of 4, then he will be dumb in the future, because there will be no speaking practice, and even the innate ability to speak will soon stall.

If a child entered the forest at the age of 1-2 years, then his situation is even more deplorable. Here you need to understand that when it comes to highly verbal communication methods, they play a key role in human development.

Therefore, Mowgli in reality would never be able to talk to people. Moreover, he began to communicate with them as an adult, when any previously existing human skills would have been irretrievably lost long ago. Speech plays a key role in their rehabilitation after capture, because it could allow people to return to our world. If it is not there, then there will be no return. Growing up among the virgin forest and wild animals, they are completely devoid of our typical intellect and logical thinking.

We are accustomed to thinking that a person is a supreme being, however, whatever one may say, his development is determined exclusively by training and education. If this does not happen, then the “great” person will not differ in his abilities and capabilities from the forest animals. Sadly, but a person who grew up in the forest resembles a gorilla, for example, in his development and abilities. Many argue about the origin of man - here's another reason for you to think about it.

Animal humans are close to primates not only in their development, but also in behavior, if it has not been copied from other animals. They are very shy and often compensate for this with aggression. They do not like or do not know how to walk on two legs, but they wonderfully and quickly rush on four limbs.

Promotional video:

They climb trees well and dig holes with their hands. They do not drink water, but lapped. Eating unprocessed raw food by tearing it open with teeth. They can be lured by the delicious scent. Most importantly, they are afraid of the person. They are also almost always afraid of those who were afraid of the animals that sheltered them.

In general, all their behavior, all their skills, all their abilities, all their capabilities and all other qualities they adopt from these animals. If it is a pack of wolves, then they will behave like wolves and have the same habits, including the instinct to mark territory and recognize it by smell.

That is, they take an example from those who are nearby, even if it is a cat or hoofed animal. It turns out that a child is a raw material from which any creature can be obtained as a result, for which it only needs to be placed in the appropriate environment.

It is worth once again focusing on the issue of the influence of society on a person, since this not only explains all the characteristics of human animals, but gives rise to thought about all of humanity, since its development and structure is extremely uneven on Earth. Man becomes an animal in the environment of animals and man becomes a man in the environment of man.

Having come under the care of any animals, he completely adopts their social and life structure, regardless of logic, because the child does not have it and the genes tell him to learn from his neighbors. So it turns out that, having initially fallen into the family of a European, a person develops in a different way than if he was born into a Muslim family in the East or in Africa.

Image
Image

Proceeding from this, a person has no choice but to absorb that development and that culture that is around him and which is almost impossible to then uproot from consciousness, even if it contradicts reason.

Many people on our planet are not at all as developed as the educated population of Europe, and in some corners people are more like animals and their children have no choice but to become the same. Conclusion: Children always need a good example and training. Miss a moment somewhere and end up with a bloodthirsty mindless killer.

When people tried to humanize monkeys, they conducted many experiments in this direction. Experiments in which human and monkey cubs participated have shown that in the first months of life they develop in the same way and a person can even be inferior in something. But at some stage, due to the lack of speech, the development of monkeys stops.

If at this time you do not share them with the children, then the development of the latter will also slow down in the same way, since they grow up in one group. This is another proof that a person is a kind of blank sheet of paper on which you can write any information. If this picture is painted by the forest, then it will be completely alien to us.

With regard to physical development, people who grew up in the wild undoubtedly have a much more hardy and tenacious organism with powerful immunity and adaptation to an aggressive environment. Growing up very strong and powerful is only prevented by the lack of full-value food in the required quantities.

Their whole life becomes devoted only to obtaining it, but it is still not enough in any conditions. Untreated and lack of food is often the cause of serious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and can even cause diseases that are fatal in the wild forest.

Humanity has had to observe human beasts many times, and the patterns described above have long been identified. The most interesting thing is that when such a person enters the civilized world, he never voluntarily approaches him. Quite the opposite. When they are accidentally met and caught somewhere, they, like frightened animals, are often first locked up in isolated rooms and even cages. While these people behave like animals, they need appropriate conditions, because they can harm not only themselves, but also those around them.

However, there is a big question about the advisability of returning such creatures to civilization. Firstly, they will never be able to adapt to it if they have lived too many years alone with nature. Even if this period was only a few years, but in childhood, it will still be impossible to bring them closer to us, due to the impossibility of making up for lost age development.

By and large, when they lived in the forest, they were happy in their own way and were in a familiar environment that is familiar to them inside and out. When they are returned back, then everything changes dramatically. They now find themselves in an unknown place with unknown creatures. They completely lose their orientation in space and are not able to assess what is happening adequately.

After a few years, they begin to see some positive shifts, but they will always miss the forest and will not feel in their element. Therefore, it is not entirely clear why they should be returned. All the same, a full-fledged person will not work out of them. Perhaps just another eternal patient of a neurological institution.

The only option for the existence of a plausible Mowgli can only be if the child falls into the wild world with already formed knowledge about the social structure and culture of humanity. Only in this case, even if he spends a lot of time in isolation, he will have a chance to return to normal life, albeit at a slow pace and not completely.

Wolf people

Even in textbooks on the history of the Ancient World, we are told about the brothers Romulus and Remus, the founders of the almighty and still beautiful Rome, who were nursed by a she-wolf.

Image

And in the annals of 1341, you can find a mention of a youth found in the midst of wolves, who quickly died in "civilization" because he could not eat the food we were used to.

It is not known where the legends about werewolves came from, but there is reason to assume that the reason is the following: wolves very often bring human cubs closer to themselves and raise them on their own. Naturally, a person who has lived with wolves for several years is more like a wolf in his habits than a typical representative of civilization, while retaining all the anatomical features of a person. Since such cases have taken place for a long time (if they have not always happened at all), superstitious people could well give them the most fantastic explanations.

Why is it that wolves more often than many other animals bring people closer to themselves, second only to dogs in this? Even Kipling settled the same Mowgli among them. Firstly, their number is greatest among large social mammals, and this despite the fact that they are found on most of our planet. The very sociality of their lives plays an equally important role in this.

It is known that packs of wolves represent the most organized social structure in which leadership belongs to one male and one female, as if jointly leading their sexes. At the same time, females can often raise puppies together and feel maternal love for all of them, so to speak. It is this factor, coupled with their prevalence, that plays a key role in the formation of animal people.

When a small child enters the field of vision of wolves, then there are only two options for the development of events: they will either eat him or take him to themselves. It is unlikely that wolves will simply pass by him. Those who then have to run wild can still consider themselves lucky, since the balanced nature must destroy others. The confluence of many circumstances allows only one child out of many hundreds trapped in the wild to survive in this way.

Naturally, there are reasons for this or that development. If it is winter and hunger, then it will be eaten. If it is summer or spring, the wolves will be relatively well fed and the cubs will hide in their lair, then it is likely that a female with a heightened maternal instinct will take a little man under her care, just like her cub from her pack. However, the greatest chance of adopting a cub of a different species occurs when the female tragically loses her young litter. The fact is that her maternal instinct, as well as the milk produced, remains unspent.

A child raised in a family of wolves has its own characteristics in relation to others of its own kind. The main factor here is the predatory nature of the "gray brothers". When a small person gets into a new family, they immediately impose their own rules on him, without which it is simply unrealistic to survive in their conditions. In the life of growing cubs, this is manifested in aggressive games and complete submission to older male wolves.

They are taught to beware of danger and to hunt anything that can be eaten. A child in such conditions is able to adopt not only behavioral traits, but also the skills of wolves and absorb them to the very subcortex. If he sees that everyone around is walking on four limbs, then even if he previously knew how to walk on his feet, he will still move in the same way, and with practice he will begin to get it very deftly.

If he sees that everyone is lapping the water, he will do it in the same way. If food is eaten raw, tearing it with fangs and claws, then he will repeat it. Even such physiological skills as coping and sex play, such a person will copy exactly.

Moreover, the adopted wolf who grew up in a family of wolves adopts from them even purely wolf natural features of behavior, due to exceptional capabilities. For example, this refers to the sense of smell, which is ideally developed in wolves and is perhaps the best among all other creatures.

Their worldview is a superposition of visual, auditory and olfactory images in equal measure, unlike us. The child will be forced to use the same method of orientation in space, which initially he will get worse, but since he is not able to understand this, he will simply repeat what he sees.

The most famous wolf story happened on a Sunday morning in 1920, a few kilometers from the Indian village of Godamuri, near the border with Nepal. On this amazing day, which later entered all possible sources about the unknown, the Anglican Reverend J. E. L. Singh and his assistants decided to dispel the myth of a certain ghost child or little demon who lives under an old termite mound. Singh got tired of the nonsense that the locals were talking about on this matter, and he decided to find the truth and at the same time, with his really brave act, increase his flock.

After several blows, the termite mound began to collapse, and first two wolves ran out of it and hastily fled into the jungle. Then a she-wolf appeared, who did not want to leave the place, clearly guarding something, and she had to be killed, as her behavior was aggressive. But what was found in a huge smelly den amazed everyone and still amazes.

There were two little wolf cubs. Very cute and intimidated. And besides them there were two more creatures. First of all, everyone decided that these were the very demons, but after looking closely, they realized that these were human children. But the behavior of these strange naked girls was extremely unusual. They, like wolves, growled, crawled helplessly through the den and even made unsuccessful attempts to rush at people.

Image
Image

Reverend Singh took these "beasts" to his shelter in the city of Midnapur. The eldest of them was at least 8 years old, and she was named Kamala.

The second was very small, about two years old, and she was given the name Amala. For a long time, modern scientists puzzled how an adult girl could run wild in a maximum of a year and a half (based on the age of the children) if they got to the wolves at the same time.

This can be explained in different ways. Or they got into this situation at different times, that is, the wolves picked up the girls twice. Or the youngest was much older, but due to poor nutrition and slow development, she could look two years old; the same applies to the eldest, which could have been much more years old.

Or they really were 2 and 8 years old, but the eldest was under such severe stress that she lost her mind in a very short time. The latest version is unconvincing - the girl's rehabilitation was very difficult, and it seems unlikely that skills that were not used for only a year or a little more were practically irreparable.

Image
Image

At the orphanage, the girls felt uncomfortable, and they had to first be placed in a cage for safety. They could not walk or talk, ate only raw meat and satisfy physiological needs in a completely non-feminine way. A new environment or just an accident killed the youngest Amala, and she died from an infection unknown at that time.

The eldest turned out to be more resilient, and she had a lot of time to learn the wisdom of civilized life and abandon animal habits, but until the end this did not happen. Her development took place like this: six months later, she stretched out her hand for food; after a year and a half - began to walk and use dishes; two years later, she cried for the first time when Amala died; six years later - mastered a hundred words and began to recognize personal objects; nine years later - for the first time called by the name of a person (nurse). In 1929, the history of these girls was cut off completely: Kamala died.

Dog people

Dogs have always been our closest animals, who understand us better than others. No wonder they say that true lifelong love can only be bought in the poultry market, often for little money. This creature will love you as much as possible, rejoicing at your every movement and voice, meeting and seeing you off, licking and bringing slippers.

In this regard, it does not seem surprising that it is the dogs that most often "adopt" the prodigal children of civilization. Their kindness and responsiveness only contributes to this. Too often, their society turns out to be much warmer and kinder than the society of people in the modern world.

Of all the stories on this topic, the Russian public is most familiar with the hard life of Ramzia Tukmatullina. Fortunately, her story was replicated by all possible channels and programs speculating in human grief, which we all love so unconsciously.

Ramzia's antisocial mother is certainly to blame for everything. More than a typical village alcoholic, she completely abandoned her daughter, giving her the chance to raise herself on her own. She preferred to communicate with the green snake and the local helpless drunks, of whom there are always a great many in such places. The local district militia officer Ruslan Khabibullin brought the girl "out into the light", reporting an egregious picture to the regional center.

It seems that at one point Ramzia was simply disappointed in people and found refuge among the dogs. Despite her far from being an infant (at that time 10-13 years old), she partially adopted their habits and could hardly communicate with people. However, this was not a full-fledged alienation, and at the moment the already growing up girl in good conditions has completely forgotten animal habits and is thinking about things typical of this age.

Something similar happened to Oksana Malaya, who lives in Ukraine. This case is completely outrageous. Suffice it to say that she lived in a kennel with a dog …

Oksana now lives in the Odessa boarding school for girls with psychophysical defects. She got there more than a dozen years ago from an orphanage, where she ended up at the age of 7 right after she was taken away from an abnormal mother, who later sunk into obscurity. As a teenager, Oksana was admitted to the hospital and horrified all her employees, since no one had seen anything like it before.

Despite the fact that she understood the speech, she practically refused to speak. She walked only on four limbs, as is almost always the case with such children. Naturally, raised by a dog, she growled, grinned, could bite, and she even coped with physiological need just like dogs. She also refused to use cutlery and simply lapped from the plate. She scratched her ear with her foot, throwing her leg up like an inveterate gymnast. Most of all she loved to communicate with dogs and enjoyed walking in their company.

How she became a girl dog is not clear to anyone. Oksana was born a perfectly healthy child, but in a drinking family and like the other children, she grew up in the mud. They say that the parents at one point put her on a chain themselves so as not to interfere, or she was warmed by an affectionate bitch, whose puppies were drowned. In any case, the girl lacked care and attention, and the dogs could somehow compensate for this. In general, by school age, her development was at the level of an infant.

Cat people

We adore our pets, love them dearly and take care of them. They respond to us with affection and respect, especially cats, because dogs love selflessly. However, it is difficult to get used to the fact that they can educate us, just as we can educate them.

In general, this always happens, because the creatures living nearby inevitably adopt each other's habits and habits, although to varying degrees. After all, this is one of the manifestations of the laws of survival in this complex world. But it is still difficult to imagine that a person would be completely placed in the care of a cat.

However, a couple of years ago, a story happened in our country that amazes with its unreality and cruelty of some of its participants, as is often the case, parents. It all happened in the village of Goritsy, which is located near the town of Shuya, Ivanovo region.

Image

A 4-year-old boy, Anton Adamov, grew up in a dysfunctional family with his mother and grandmother. For some reason, neither one nor the other showed even a hint of interest in the existence of the child and in his upbringing, as if he had fallen from the sky to them or a domestic cat brought him from the cabbage.

Not only did the child not bother with his needs during his daily libations, he was almost constantly kept locked up in a cold closet, where, in fact, he just miraculously survived. Sometimes they gave him some food, but more often they forgot that too.

But there was in this vile nest of decaying asocial personalities and one kind soul - the cat Nastya. It is not known for what specific reasons, but she actually took custody of the child. It is strange that she lived in this house at all, but, as you know, animals are not particularly demanding of their owners.

Maybe the kittens were taken from her, and in this way she realized her instincts. Maybe they just lived nearby, and the unfortunate Anton had no choice but to adopt her habits, which were natural for a cat, and he, like a sponge, at the deep call of nature, was looking for examples of imitation.

The local police officer, Lieutenant Evdokimov, who, presumably, was a frequent visitor to this half-den, discovered a flagrant violation of the rights of the child. Once, during another instructive conversation with the owners, he saw a completely dirty child crawl out into the vastness of an almost collapsed hut, followed by a cat. The boy completely copied the cat's behavior. At the same time, he was not just dirty - his appearance indicated that his clothes had not been changed for many months: everything processed by the body for an unknown period was accumulated in huge tights.

The policeman was shocked. The most vile thing is the indifference of people. All neighbors and relatives knew about what was happening, but it seemed like "nothing special" happened. People, why are you so cruel? Maybe you are aware of similar incidents that are happening right now near you. If so, then do everything possible to stop it, and do not be silent, do not pass by, you yourself may suffer from the consequences later. The boy was soon sent to an orphanage under the direction of Irina Kochina.

She told about him the most. Initially, the child was severely exhausted by the lifestyle and disgusting food. For many months he refused to walk and crawled on all fours. At the same time, he did not let anyone near him for a long time, he hissed and meowed. However, the kind teachers nevertheless tamed the boy with the help of various kind tricks. When he began to gradually make contact, for a long time he reacted to petting the way cats do - bending his back and rolling on the floor.

He didn’t want to dress, sit at the table and sleep in bed. Even the preferences in food and the way of eating it have long been purely feline. The educators watched as he collected and ate sedge in the yard, which cats cleared their stomachs, and this was just at the moment when he was having problems with digesting new and unusual food for him.

Anton was lucky to be found at this age. If he had lived like this for a couple of years, he would never have been able to be a full-fledged person, failing to adapt to the normal culture of human life and thinking.

In the country of Mowgli, India, at the beginning of the 20th century, a British official, Stuart Baker, saw a strange picture in one of the villages: a certain kid ran on all fours and sniffed at everything like an animal. This was one of the first descriptions of cases of raising people with large predatory cats. Inquiring, the Englishman learned that at the age of two he was abducted by a female leopard, who had lost her cub shortly before.

She fed the boy and put him on his feet, like a real Bagheera, but she raised him not in a human way. As a result, when they were found three years later, the cat was killed and the child was returned to the family. None of the poorly educated Indians in distant villages would have guessed even now that such a child needs treatment, and what can we say about those times when this was practically not developed at all?

So the child remained a leopard in spirit for the rest of his life and almost did not absorb human skills, because the time for programming had already been lost.

Monkey people

Unlike other feral children, the monkeys have a huge advantage. The fact is that monkeys, being primates, are certainly related to us.

Image
Image

Therefore, their habits and intelligence are somehow close to us, which distinguishes them favorably from wolves, cats and bears. It is for this reason that the adopted monkeys lend themselves to greater integration into society than those who grew up in a non-primate society.

At the beginning of the third millennium in Nigeria, the amazing Mowgli was found in the Falgore forest. It all began with the fact that a boy named Bello, as the hunters discovered the child named the child, was abandoned by his parents from the nomadic Fula people, which is not uncommon for such the poorest countries in the world.

Especially this practice is used by this particular people, where they prefer to get rid of an unhealthy offspring. They abandoned him due to significant physical and mental birth defects. However, for some reason, he was able to nest with a flock of chimpanzees.

They found him at the age of about 4 years, which leaves the chances of his development, as far as the disease will allow. It turns out that he spent at least three years among chimpanzees.

It was monkeys that played a significant role in his survival. He not only lived among the monkeys - they went out, probably, mistaking him for their own, because he could not have survived otherwise.

He was placed in a special institution for disabled minors. There will be a lot of work for doctors and educators: he does not speak, growls, does not know how to walk like a human being, eat and drink correctly, and much more.

A similar case happened in 1991 in the same sunny and monkey Africa. It happened in Uganda, where an emaciated and sickly 4-year-old boy was found. However, a whole flock of monkeys jumped out of the forest to protect the boy, and they tried to fight off the child, apparently considering him their own. Since the baby, John Sebunya, was still young, he was able to be re-educated, and he learned to speak. That is why the story is interesting, because the culprit of the events was able to describe his adventures many years later.

It turned out that he fled into the forest, unable to bear the sight of his mother beating his father. In the forest, he joined a flock of monkeys. Then he was about three years old. Not to say that they especially accepted him, since he belonged to a lower caste and could not get too close to them. But in a year he learned to communicate with new brothers in mind, which was later proved in experiments at the Entebbe zoo, where he was taken by the BBC correspondent.

Another monkey boy was somehow found in Ceylon. There he played and lived with monkeys. However, in this case, a 12-year-old teenager was initially mentally unhealthy, and did not acquire mental disorders under the influence of the environment. Perhaps it is for this reason that his parents once left him. Whatever it was. Tisa, as he was called, unable to speak humanly, communicated quite tolerably like a monkey with the help of snorts and gestures. He adopted their habit of sitting in their position and completely forgot how to stand.

Bears, Chickens and Pigs

Many consider the story of a story about how in 2001, in the Iranian province of Lorestan, a baby a few months old was lost in the forest and three days later found in a den. He was adopted by a bear, she fed the child with her milk, which he really liked. However, this does not look like something out of the ordinary when you come across other indisputable facts from the distant past and present.

That only there is a boy found in one of the provinces of China in 1996, covered with wool. He was caught by the hunter Kuan Wai, whose baby still lives with other children. He was called the "panda boy" because he was caught among the funny and melancholic bamboo bears - pandas. His behavior was largely copied from "friends". For example, he ate bamboo shoots and leaves, could not walk, instead of washing, he licked himself, scratched and growled like an animal. His age did not exceed three years.

As for his appearance, then it was a genetic abnormality - he was completely covered with hair vegetation. Perhaps this is the reason why his parents abandoned him in the forest as an infant. It is not surprising that he could seem like a relative to the pandas.

Since the child was too small for his development to stall, unlike other Mowgli, he quickly adapted to the new world and after a month began to run and became attached to new parents. Naturally, he learned everything else. This strange kid was not the first to grow up in the same company. Two cases were recorded in 1892 and in 1923.

Honestly, it is difficult to even imagine that this is possible, but a person can be raised not only by such developed creatures as dogs and even bears, but also by chickens.

This incident took place on the island of Fiji. The story is this: after the death of his parents, the grandfather locked the poor boy in the chicken coop and allegedly forgot there. In this situation, the mind of a growing child had no choice but to adapt to new conditions and rules. Doubts, however, are caused by the fact that when he escaped, he went to the hospital on his own. How could a child think of this, who was allegedly tied to a bed in the same hospital, since he was possessed?

Moreover, a person practically bolted to the bed lived like this for more than 20 years, since the doctors did not know how to treat him. For a long time, he could only cluck, jump on his feet, spread his arms to the sides, and peck.

People often joke that if they call you a pig for a long time, you can grunt, but few people know that for someone this is not a subject for jokes. For example, for the Chinese woman Wang Xianfeng, who from a very young age (from 3 to 5 years old) lived more among pigs than among people.

As a result, when she was found at the age of 9, she, brought up according to the most refined rules of good manners of pigs, amused the whole world with her public grunt. However, she turned out to be trainable, despite the intelligence of a three-year-old child, and after a few years she stopped frightening everyone with strange sounds, spoke and began to eat with chopsticks.

A similar story happened again with a girl from the German Salzburg, who grew up in a barn with pigs, adopting their habits. Due to the low ceiling, she had to sit almost all the time, which caused her legs to twist.

Isolation from human society

Quite often people become animals on their own and do not learn the skills of other animals, because they were not "adopted" by them. This situation is interesting because we can observe what a person really is if he develops independently of any society. It should be noted that the picture in this case is not the most wonderful.

It turns out that a great and omnipotent man in splendid isolation, unlike even any lonely animal, grows up almost dumber than all people and the same animals. This is influenced only by the time spent in such an environment. There was no precedent in history when this happened to a newborn, but if it happened, then he would be completely inadequate and really insane.

There are many examples of human savagery both in modern history and in the days gone by. Perhaps, there are much more people developing independently of anyone and something than those raised by all animals combined, because this does not require special conditions. It is not difficult to create the necessary conditions. It is enough to put a person in an isolated room or send him to a deep forest.

Image
Image

The most famous example of savagery is the story of Kaspar Hauser, which dates back to 1828 in the same Nuremberg, where more than a century later the most terrible and real "people-beasts" were tried, who killed tens of millions of lives.

In those distant times, a strange young man of 16 years old appeared on the street from nowhere, who was holding onto the walls from severe exhaustion.

He was discovered by two very drunk shoemakers, to whom he handed the letter, unable to answer anything to their questions. The letter was addressed to a certain captain of the cavalry, and the youth was led to him. Later it turned out that someone had sent the boy who was thrown to him a long time ago to the captain, because this boy wanted to become a cavalryman.

It also noted that the boy does not know anything and cannot do anything, and if the captain does not need him, he can be killed. Also included was another note, sort of from those who threw the boy to this man, but both were written in one hand.

Where he came from, it was not possible to find out until the end. Its story is more reminiscent of an adventure novel in the spirit of "The Count of Monte Cristo". He lived his whole life in a closed dark shack. Someone unknown always looked after him during his sleep, adding sleeping pills to his water. He saw the face of this unknown only once, and even then in a mask.

After many years, when Kaspar adapted to society, learned to interact with it and could tell something, then he said that he was allegedly kidnapped by the same man in a mask. There is a theory according to which he was the son and heir of the Duke of Baden, and he was kidnapped by the latter's wife, who was plotting some dark affairs around her husband. The story is so amazing that many doubts about its authenticity have crept in more than once.

One way or another, this cannot be verified. He somehow wrote his name as Kaspar Hauser. For a long time he did not eat anything except water and bread, could not look at the daylight, had amazingly sharp night vision, sense of smell and hearing. He almost could not speak, but he could write his name on paper and hardly say that he wanted to be a cavalryman, which looked strange. Then it turned out that the masked man had taught him these two things.

Kaspar was initially mistaken for a deceiver. But when dozens of professionals examined him - police, scientists, doctors, educators and many others, it turned out that he really grew up in isolation.

All Europe was worried about the fate of the young man, and one of the most famous forensic scientists of that time, Feuerbach, conducted his own full-fledged investigation, which revealed the following. The boy had indeed been locked up for a long time; was born between 1811 and 1813; this is probably the son of Duchess Stephanie of Baden, who just at that time lost her child, and he was declared dead on almost the same days that are mentioned by the date of his birth in the accompanying note. As a result, having survived several assassination attempts, Kasper was still killed. If he was the son of Stephanie, then he was Napoleon's cousin …

As for his rehabilitation, it was successful: studies were given to him relatively easily and he even learned to play the harpsichord.

Unlike Kaspar, the story of Victor of Aveyron is much more dramatic. If the first lived in civilization, albeit in complete isolation, then the second was just in the forest.

For two or three years, a strange 9-year-old boy appeared in different parts of the sunny South of France, but they could not catch him, including the superstitious fear of local residents. However, in 1800 he was captured by a group of peasants near La Basin.

The child looked no more than 10 years old. He was not wearing any clothes, his hair was very matted, and all over his body there were scars and terrible sores. However, he was greatly intimidated. The found cub was admitted to the hospital, where he was examined by the naturalist Pierre-Joseph Bonater. It turned out that the boy does not see his own reflection in the mirror, or rather, he is not able to understand that he is seeing him.

He fell asleep and woke up exclusively in the sun, loved to admire the moon. He could not speak, and his sounds were more like grunting, moreover, he did not see the difference between music, speech and other sounds. He was completely unable to concentrate, which is most likely to blame for the lack of internal dialogue. But he also had advantages - for example, he had a very keen hearing and was insensitive to temperature changes.
