The craving of people, especially young people, is ineradicable for all kinds of unknown natural phenomena, riddles of the human psyche, mysterious insights that visit some individuals. And what is characteristic, these wonders have incredible vitality - some have existed for millennia and are not going to succumb to our explanations … Here is the Bermuda Triangle. How much has already been written and said about him, but there has never been an exhaustive solution to it!

The birth of a legend

Let us remind those who have forgotten that we owe the explosive outburst of public interest to the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle to the famous bestseller published by the American researcher Charles Berlitz in 1974, which was called the Bermuda Triangle. The writer traced the history of this intrigue from the memorable date of December 5, 1945, marked by an unprecedented tragedy in the North Atlantic (just in the Bermuda Triangle). It was on this day that five American torpedo aircraft disappeared without any apparent reason here! The details of this incident, which are repeated in other cases, are quite typical.

The flight of an aviation link of five air vehicles began at 14.00 on the indicated day, and at 15.15, after practicing a training torpedo-throwing on a surface target, the aircraft headed for their base Fort Lauderdale on the Florida Peninsula.

Suddenly, flight directors heard a strange message from the commander of the air link, Lieutenant Charles Taylor: “It seems we are off course! You can't see the land at all! " At the dispatcher's suggestion to fly west to get out of the ominous "triangle". Taylor replied, “We don't know where the west is! One gets the impression that the ocean looks somehow unusual! " As the radio communication was interrupted, the rescue seaplane "Martin Mariner" rushed to the aid of those in distress, but it disappeared just as suddenly! It turns out that in just a few hours, the American Air Force lost six aircraft and 27 aviation personnel, and for no apparent reason!

Avoiding the radar beam

In April 1974, the passenger superliner Queen Elizabeth 2, crossing the Sargasso Sea, adjacent to the Bermuda Triangle, lost speed. As it turned out, one of the three steam boilers was out of order. Notable in this episode is the testimony of the commander of the US Coast Guard ship following the superliner. According to him, when Queen Elizabeth 2 entered the triangle, it disappeared from the Coast Guard's radar screen, but remained visually visible!

But some time passed, and the superliner still disappeared from sight …

A similar incident happened earlier with the plane. A National Airlines passenger airliner was approaching the Miami airport runway and was monitored by ground-based radar. 20 minutes before landing, the pilots checked their watches with the air traffic control service. Suddenly the plane disappeared from the dispatch radar screen - and reappeared on it only after 10 minutes! The landing went quite well, but with a delay of those very 10 minutes! The pilots denied this fact, because according to their watch, the plane landed on time! This extraordinary phenomenon prompted the dispatcher to exclaim: “My God! After all, these 10 minutes simply did not exist!"

Philadelphia experiment

Charles Berlitz, in his famous book about the Bermuda Triangle, discusses a certain spatio-temporal "gap" in this region of the ocean, where ships and airplanes allegedly sometimes fall!

In support of such an extravagant version, Berlitz refers to the general theory of relativity of Albert Einstein, which recognizes the fact of time dilation in strong gravitational fields. Moreover, according to his data, the Americans in 1943 allegedly tried to simulate a powerful gravitational field in the so-called Philadelphia experiment to test the change in the course of time! The test subject was the destroyer Eldridge, equipped with multiple current generators and entangled in electrical cables. According to the plan of the organizers, among whom the rumor called Albert Einstein, turning on all the electric generators at full power was supposed to form a powerful electromagnetic field around the ship that could reproduce the effects of gravity! The results of the experiment, as eyewitnesses said, exceeded the most fantastic expectations!

When the power generators were working at full capacity, the ship began to envelop in a greenish haze in front of the audience standing on the shore. Gradually it thickened and, turning into a dense fog, completely closed the destroyer. At this moment, he allegedly appeared for a short time in Norfolk, Virginia, that is, 200 miles from Philadelphia!

According to Berlitz, the experiment carried out proved the fact that space-time was "curling up", and therefore the ship moved to another place - and maybe at another time!

Crazy Ideas Wanted

It is time to address this appeal to all institutions involved in the so-called eternal riddles. True, the beginning of collecting crazy ideas was already laid in his book by Charles Berlitz. To do this, he undertook a brainstorming session, culminating in an exposition of a wide range of hypothetical reasons for the tragic events taking place in the "triangle". Among them are ball lightning, killer waves, floating and flying monsters, unexplored natural phenomena and even … intelligent beings that steal samples of our technology!

Most recently, an idea has been put forward that could surpass all such considerations expressed. Moreover, its confirmation would mark a real revolution in our understanding of the universe. The essence of the idea, possibly capable of shedding light on eternal mysteries, was presented to the public by one of its authors, the head of the Astronomical Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Nikolai Semenovich Kardashev.

The components of our world

According to modern concepts, our Universe consists of atoms and molecules known to us (occupying about 5 percent of the mass of the Universe), dark matter (25 percent), which manifests itself only by its own gravity, and the so-called dark energy, which occupies 70 percent of the entire existing world by mass (!) and also manifesting itself by gravity and the pressure exerted by it.

An absolutely fantastic assumption has been made that dark matter is something like a mirror world! This means that there must be particles in the Universe that do not interact at all with the particles we know. In addition, scientists admit the existence of completely new particles of cosmic origin. Some of them have already been registered. in particular, particles that "feel" the speed of the Sun's motion around the center of our Galaxy! Experts pin great hopes on research at a supercollider in Switzerland, which will most likely reveal fundamentally new particles that are part of dark matter, and maybe also part of dark energy. Occupying 70 percent of the mass of the world, these components of our reality have an unimaginable scale of their own development up to the emergence of intelligent life!

If the inhabitants of the mirror world move freely everywhere and even pass through the walls as through an empty space, it is not surprising that, according to N. S. Kardashev, "not a single indisputable sign of any extraterrestrial civilization has been found." And to the direct question of journalist Alexander Midler whether we are alone in the Universe, the academician replied: "We are sitting in this room now, and here a train may pass or another civilization may be located, and we will not notice …".
