This mountain range, which is about 70 km long, is located in the north-east of Altai. For a long time, local residents consider Altyn-Tu a sacred mountain. Here is what Altai researcher V. V. Sapozhnikov wrote about it:
“At the southwestern corner of Lake Teletskoye … the first terraces of Altyn-Tagan, or Altyn-Tuu, the Golden Mountain, are piled up. The steep, almost inaccessible slopes of the mountain are overgrown in places with shrubs and scraps of dry grasses, in places they fall sheer bare rocks, here and there leaning larch trees have stuck … Altaians have no need to go there, and among them it is widely believed that the Altyn-Tu peak is sacred, and at every attempt to climb on it the spirits hide it from daring eyes, hiding it in the clouds.
There is a tourist camping on the southern shore of Lake Teletskoye, and during the USSR, part of the tourist route No. 77, a very popular planned route, passed along the ridge itself.
The name Altyn-Tu is translated into Russian as "golden mountain". Many legends are associated with this place. Including legends that the first man, Maidere, was created by the supreme spirit Ulgen on this mountain.
In recent years, local hunters, mushroom pickers and herbalists have unanimously argued that flights of alien ships of various shapes are observed daily over the mountain itself and nearby territories. Several people admitted to being abducted by aliens and subjected to incomprehensible experiences. Fortunately, the contactees were brought back.
Something similar happened to a certain Vladimir V., who was hunting in the forests near the Altyn-Tu mountain. Suddenly he heard a sharp sound, like a whistle, and a moment later everything floated before his eyes, and he lost consciousness.
Vladimir woke up in a strange room, devoid of windows and doors. The walls of the room were covered with an unknown hard and warm material of silvery color. The hunter tried to get up from a kind of couch on which he was lying, but his legs and arms did not obey him.

After a while, an opening was formed in the wall through which several humanoid creatures entered the room. They were notable for their short stature, the arms of the humanoids were long, and their heads were large. Vladimir managed to make out the eyes of the aliens - they were faceted.
After that, the man again lost consciousness and woke up again in the forest, in the very place where he felt bad. As it turned out later, the hunter was absent for more than 3 weeks.
The alien guests did not cause any damage to Vladimir's health. But after meeting with them, the hunter discovered new, amazing abilities. For example, it turned out that by some unknown way he managed to learn several foreign languages, including Latin. All the more surprising was the fact that now a hunter from a remote, remote village can boast of one hundred percent literacy.
Ufologists have yet to check this and other facts.
