So it happened with the mystery associated with the La Pascualita mannequin, which has been “living” in the glazed part of the exterior of one of the wedding goods stores for 89 years.
Residents of the city of Chihuahua (Mexico) believe that in reality this doll is nothing more than the well-preserved body of the daughter of the first owner of the salon.
Belief indicates that the mannequin began to adorn the showcase of the salon on March 25, 1930. It was impossible to take your eyes off the amazing beauty of the girl with perfect facial features until the people passing by caught some resemblance of the doll to the owner of the Pascuala Esparza store.
His daughter suffered a tragic death: on the day of the wedding, she died from the bite of the Black Widow spider. Sounds intriguing already, doesn't it? At that time, the incident was on everyone's lips, in view of this, people immediately thought that in order to suppress the feeling of loss, the father put the embalmed corpse of his own daughter on the window.
The man himself constantly refuted these stories, which spread around the city at the speed of light, but it was already too late … Over time, the girl's name was forgotten and, and the mannequin began to be called by the name of her father, La Pascualita.
Today, tourists from different countries of the world come to see it "live". Not taking into account the fact that more than a dozen years have passed, the doll still attracts attention due to its unprecedented beauty and realism.
Many visitors say that La Pascualita's eyes follow customers as they walk through the salon. The shop assistants, with shivering legs, change her clothes every 14 days, while closing the curtains. Some “secretly” say that you can see varicose veins on her legs.

Scientists, of course, refute rumors that the glazed part of the exterior has been adorned with a real corpse for almost 90 years, referring to the fact that certain conditions are needed to store it.
