Approximately 5% of the world's population believe that they have encountered a UFO at least once in their life. According to experts, most of the known cases of encounters with alien spacecraft are the result of image processing or other terrestrial phenomena.
The first high-profile UFO sighting occurred relatively recently - in 1897. Then the American pilot Neil Richardson accidentally met an unidentified object right in the sky. According to him, he was performing a training flight over Nebraska. At one point, the plane began to shake, which is why it immediately turned to the base and reported a zone of increased turbulence in a given area. A few minutes later, he saw through the window a strange object that was moving at almost the same speed as his plane. Visually, it resembled a huge stone, but thick smoke was pouring from its back. A few seconds later, the object soared into the sky, hiding behind the clouds. According to Richardson, a portable surveillance camera installed in the cockpit also recorded the strange object. Despite the fact that he had direct evidence of the existence of an extraterrestrial object,his leadership considered his story to be fiction. According to official data, the pilot saw a small meteorite that entered the Earth's atmosphere, but completely burned up within a few minutes.
Further, it is worth recalling an incident that occurred in the suburbs of Washington in the early 90s. Then, almost every young man in the United States was fond of photography. It was in this regard that Ethan Orkson constantly spent time next to a small forest near his father's farm, photographing beautiful landscapes. One day, he noticed a strange object above the trees, which was circling and flying from side to side. He took several photographs, but later noticed that there was another UFO on them, located a little further. According to him, this object could be a command center, and smaller objects - beacons that fix what is happening. It was also possible to establish that its owners moved to another state, but did not leave behind any information about the new coordinates.

According to eyewitnesses, it was a miracle to take a photo of strange objects, since there was a photo recorder on the window of one of the shops. Initially, the locals did not notice anything unusual. Only one of the townspeople noted that he felt a slight shock that made the dishes in his house tremble for several seconds. Later, the owner of the gas station contacted the local newspaper. According to him, the photo recorder, whose film is updated every day, took some strange pictures. One of them shows bright glowing objects circling above the field. Representatives of the British special services immediately responded to the appeal and arrived at the scene. They were able to establish that the cause of the bright flash, most likely, was energy pulses from a nearby power plant. Due to their high power, the camera did not work correctly, as a result of which flares appeared on the film.
