This amazing story happened to Helen Torrestein in 1961 when she was 32 years old. She was in her apartment doing renovations. But the unexpected happened, she stumbled, fell to the floor and hit her head hard. Soon the doctors arrived and took her unconscious to one of the nearest hospitals. She stayed in that hospital for four months, her condition did not improve. Her husband was forced to transfer to a private clinic, where she did not regain consciousness for several years.
At the time of this terrible incident, she already had a daughter named Thelma, who was 8 years old and a fifteen-year-old son, Chip. The children and her husband Charles almost every week visited their mother in the hospital, she never regained consciousness. But this could not last long, after a few years they despaired …
Interestingly, being under the supervision of doctors, doctors began to notice that a woman does not age at all. As if time had stopped for her. Helen lay serenely in her bed and continued to look like that ill-fated 1961.
1996 began to approach (35 years had passed!), But by that time her children had already grown up, had families and children, but she still looked great and continued to be in the hospital. And then came February 1996, Charles received a call from the hospital where his wife was lying and was told that she had regained consciousness. Perhaps it was the happiest day in the Torrestein family, Charles gathered all his children and went to the hospital, where they saw Helen completely healthy. The most interesting thing is that she looked completely normal and healthy, but as you can imagine, she did not recognize anyone, after all 35 years had passed. She had to get to know her children, husband and grandchildren again - after all, she knew absolutely nothing about what had happened, why her children had matured so much and her husband had grown old, and even more so how old she is now. And she was already 67 years old, and she looked 32 years old!
Helen was discharged from the hospital after a while, and she had to get used to her new life, filled with adult children, from scratch. In 1996, her husband was already 70 years old, her daughter 43, and her son 50. As you can imagine, she looked younger than her children! She first saw her grandchildren, who had the youngest grandmother. She really needed to learn how to use new household items that appeared in almost every family during her sleep - a computer, video, household appliances, etc. But she was definitely glad to join her family, who yearned for her so much for these long 35 years!
