The boy with anomalies was born on January 21, 2017 in the Indian state of Karnataka. He had two extra legs growing out of his belly and a double set of genitals. These were probably the remains of his twin brother.
Child before surgery
The child's parents called him a "gift from God" and at first actively opposed the operation. First, because they wanted him to remain the way he was born. Second, they were too poor to pay for the operation. 23-year-old Lalitamma and 26-year-old Chennabasava have another child, who is three years old, he was born without anomalies.
But last Sunday, the child was operated on, removing the extra organs. The parents gave their consent to the operation after the medical workers convinced them of the necessity.
The boy is now recovering from surgery in the hospital. The doctors said that this case was very difficult for them, but they hope that in the future their little patient will be the most ordinary child and he will not have physical problems.
