Life rarely makes people happy with diversity - home, work, weekends, vacations, and again all over again. Sometimes it seems that everything closes in a circle, and many do not stand this monotony. But the life of some people, on the contrary, is full of amazing events, strange coincidences. Sometimes this leads to tragic consequences …

Secret Crossword

This strange case has been written and spoken about with surprise more than once. But this does not make him less mysterious, and so far no one has found a logical explanation for what happened …

During the harsh years of World War II, the whole world was obsessed with secrecy. In 1944, the Allies were preparing to land troops in Normandy. The operation was being prepared in secret, information about it was not supposed to leak anywhere. And then one day in the Sunday issue of the English newspaper "The Daily Telegraph" there was an ordinary crossword puzzle, which accidentally caught the eye of someone from the army elite. He began to solve it and was horrified to see that all the words he had guessed were strictly classified code words of the upcoming operation - "Neptune", "Utah", "Omaha" and even the very conditional name of the landing - "Jupiter". A commotion began in the military headquarters. Counterintelligence officers were sent to the editorial office of the newspaper in order to find out why the largest and most famous newspaper commits high treason, and, most importantly, from where information under the heading "Top secret" leaked into it. In the editorial office, the visit of the army intelligence was very surprised and told that the crossword puzzle had been sent by an old school teacher who had been supplying them to the Daily Telegraph for several years.

The scouts went to the teacher's address and almost brought the old man to a heart attack - he did not even suspect that, composing ordinary crosswords, one could be accused of high treason.

The coincidence of words in the crossword puzzle with the names of the operation was a common coincidence, but this accident almost disrupted the landing of troops in Normandy and did not change the course of world history …

An equally strange coincidence happened at the beginning of the 20th century in the United States. In 1900, a hurricane hit the city of Galveston. The water blew away almost the entire city from the face of the earth, including the graveyard. The circus acrobat Michael Williams, who had crashed the year before during a tour, rested on it in eternal sleep. The coffin was carried off into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Nine years later, he was nailed to the coast of St. Lawrence Bay, located a great distance from Galveston. The most surprising thing was that near the spot where the coffin had sailed, on the shore stood the house in which Michael Williams lived all his life …

Burned model

An amazing coincidence once happened with the great Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni. One fine summer evening he went to visit, where he sat and indulged in conversation with the owners of the house. Suddenly, to the amazement of his interlocutors, he jumped up for no reason at all and sang the old song "The house where I was so happy burned down." Literally immediately the phone rang, and the actors' family told him sadly that his luxurious villa in Menton had just burned down. The shock to the actor and those around him was enormous. Later, Mastroianni admitted that he sang this song for the last time in deep childhood and since then has never recalled it …

And this amazing and terrible incident happened not so long ago. In 1992, the mayor's office of the city of Rouen commissioned the artist Rene Charbonneau to paint a painting in honor of the national heroine Jeanne d'Arc. The girl was supposed to be depicted at the time of her death at the stake. The artist was looking for a suitable model for a long time, but they all, in his opinion, had no resemblance to the legendary maiden. Finally, he found a model with a striking resemblance to existing depictions of Joan of Arc. By a strange coincidence, the girl, a student at the Sorbonne, was also named Jeanne.

She was delighted with such a flattering offer and steadfastly endured the long hours of posing.

The picture was hung in the meeting room of the mayor's office and all spectators were amazed at the amazing expressiveness of the canvas - Joan of Arc looked like living on it.

But soon everyone was amazed to the core - a terrible tragedy happened. Jeanne once worked in a university laboratory, and chemical reagents exploded in her. A fire broke out, and the girl was burnt alive …

The thief caught the thief

Strange coincidences sometimes just cause shock. For example, in Budapest such an incident took place several years ago. The young man, being heavily drunk, fell out of the window and fell on the man walking below, which saved the young man's life and injured a passer-by. This incident would not have seemed strange and unusual to anyone if exactly a year ago all this had not happened - the same young man fell on the same passerby …

A similar incident happened with two young Spaniards. The two brothers were returning from a night discotheque on a moped and were hit by a dashing taxi passing by, rushing away without a trace. They spent several weeks in the hospital. When the brothers were discharged, they

bought a new moped and went to visit their friends. On the way home they were again hit by a taxi driven by the same driver, but this time he did not manage to escape justice and he was responsible for both collisions …

A no less surprising coincidence happened recently in Bulgaria. A burglar-thief named Milko Stoyanov robbed a rich apartment. For speed, he decided to go down the drainpipe. His maneuver was accidentally noticed by the police and raised a whistle. Out of fear, the thief fell off the pipe and hit a man. The policemen who ran up put handcuffs on Stoyanov, and then, to his surprise, on the injured passer-by. It turned out that the victim is the same thief who has been long and unsuccessfully wanted by law enforcement agencies. The most amazing thing in this whole story is that the second thief was also called Milko Stoyanov …

An even stranger meeting of two namesakes took place in Milan. Giacomo Felice (this name translates as “happy”!) Was driving his car through the city at night. Suddenly another car jumped out to meet him, racing at great speed. Giacomo had already said goodbye to life, but after a violent collision he escaped with minor scratches. The second driver also survived. To the surprise of both, it turned out that his name was also Giacomo Felice …

Three times three

A strange incident happened once in Italy. Police officer Dino Quadri had an accident while chasing an intruder on a deserted road. He damaged an artery in his leg, lost consciousness and was bleeding. A man named Leone Reggiane was passing by by chance. He pulled the policeman out of the car, bandaged him, revived him, and thereby saved his life. Three years later, Quadri was driving along the road, patrolling his area, and saw an accident. The injured driver lay unconscious, blood oozing from his leg. The policeman put on a tourniquet and saved the victim, who, to his great amazement, turned out to be Leone Regiane …

Psychologist Claude Arnault has been studying the mysteries of cause-and-effect relationships between events for more than twenty years.

“I have collected thousands of facts when people were subjected to unknown persecution not only from circumstances and situations, but also numbers, names, surnames and dates,” says the professor. - For example, an Australian midwife named Triplett, which means "triple", was born on the third of March, lives in house number three on the third floor. Mrs. Triplett was married three times and had three children. Moreover, the year before last, she took triplets for the third time … But in the American state of Louisiana, three men were sentenced to death for the brutal murder in order to rob Clive Dorrit, who lived on Stillroad Place. During the investigation, it turned out that the killers were named Steel, Road and Place …

The explosion of two passenger trains in India caused two hundred and twenty deaths. A cigarette butt, thrown out of the window by one of the passengers, fell near a pipeline running along the road exactly at the point where the gas leak occurred. But the most unusual thing was that the trains that took off on the air, following the routes Madras-Delhi and Delhi-Madras, had the same numbers. According to experts, the likelihood of such a coincidence is reduced to zero …

No less mysterious story happened with the American cosmonaut Neil Armstrong. In 1969, barely stepping onto the lunar surface, he said:

- I wish you success, Mr. Gorski … The specialists from the Mission Control Center could not understand what kind of Mr. Gorsky the astronaut remembered. Returning to Earth, Armstrong said that once, as a child, he, playing hide and seek with his peers, ran into the courtyard of his neighbors, whose last name was Gorski. Through the open window came the screams of the scandalous spouses.

"Lousy impotent," Mrs. Gorski yelled. - The neighbor's boy is easier on the moon to fly than you meet a woman …

When Armstrong and in fact flew to the moon, in his mind suddenly surfaced heard in childhood replica, and he was shocked by the incredible coincidence, suddenly found himself spoke absurd at first glance, the phrase …

When the editorial board of the Swedish newspaper "Dagens Nycheter" announced a competition for the best story about the most interesting adventure, she did not expect that the world would learn about another mysterious coincidence. The pilot from Gothenburg Jena Brende sent to the competition a story about his happy escape. At the end of last year, he was flying over the Hawaiian Islands in a Cesna-540 plane, when suddenly the engine failed. Brenda ejected and swam in the ocean for a while in a small rubber boat until he was rescued.

The members of the editorial jury liked the story, and, having made sure of its truth, they awarded Brenda the first place. However, a letter came to the newspaper from a certain … Pence Brende from the Norwegian city of Trondheim, who claimed that the story of the Swedish pilot happened to him. True, it ended differently.

He went to the office and said that during a flight across the Pacific Ocean, a malfunction in his Cesna540 aircraft forced him to land at the Honolulu military airfield. The first Brenda remembered reading in the logbook that another pilot with the same name flew on the same plane, but, of course, he could not assume that a similar accident had occurred with him.

Some coincidences look so implausible that in their essence they resemble some kind of "soap opera" with a far-fetched plot.

Frenchman Charles Fosse constantly traveled around the world, was a passionate poker player and was known as a notorious sharper. In one of the private gambling houses in Los Angeles, he once won five thousand dollars. Partners accused him of fraud and shot him. Despite the bloody corpse lying on the floor, the gamblers were going to continue the game.

However, among the "professionals" it is generally accepted that a cheater's money brings misfortune, so they turned to a stranger who was sitting alone over a glass of whiskey to take the place of the murdered one. He willingly agreed to take part in the game with Fosse's win as with his own bet.

However, instead of losing the game and out of the game, as Fosse's killers had expected, the new partner managed to win another two thousand dollars before the police arrived. The police, having arrested the criminals, considered that Fosse received five thousand on a legal basis, and demanded them from the lucky one in order to transfer them to the next of kin of the victim.

However, their decision was superfluous, since it soon became clear that the stranger was his own son to the sharper. He just did not recognize the unlucky dad, whom he saw for the last time twenty years ago.
