Have you ever experienced mystical phenomena? Users on Reddit and Quora blogs share their experiences. Several really scary stories.

1. Laughing "objects"

In early 2007, I was on tour with my band. We were invited to spend the night at the house of Drew, a former band member. At 2:48 am I suddenly woke up. I will never forget this time, because at that moment I could only look at the clock. My body was cold, my heart was pounding, my throat was dry. It was primal fear at its most powerful.

I couldn't roll over to make sure, but I swear - something is bent over my bed. My instinct told me not to move. I felt that I should stay where I lie, and my whole life depends on it. During this horror scenes of violence and other horrible things spun in my head.

I could hear laughter in my ears, but it wasn't just one person laughing. It sounded like I was in a room with thousands of objects laughing. For the first time in my life, the thought of suicide crept into my head. This despite the fact that I have never had a suicidal tendency.

When this "feeling" is gone, the last thing I remember is a voice that sounded in my head: "Not this one." I looked at my watch - nine minutes had passed. It was the longest nine minutes of my life.

Several hours later I woke up and decided that I had to leave this house as quickly as possible. I didn't shower or eat breakfast, got into the van and waited for the rest of the group. While I was waiting, Brother Drew came up to me and spoke to me. He said one sentence, "Sorry I couldn't help you this morning." When he said this, tears stood in his eyes. This look, full of despair, still stands before my eyes.

Two weeks later, we learned that Brother Drew had committed suicide around 3 am. I am tormented by the question: if I then tried to talk to him, then maybe everything could be different.

I have never told anyone about this except my husband. I still have a chill on my skin from these memories, I feel guilty towards Drew. I don't know what actually happened in that house. But I'm also afraid to find out.

2. Twisted light bulbs

I once spent the night in a house where I think the ghosts lived. My friend lived in that house with her family, but they did not pay attention to the water taps, which periodically turned on and off by themselves at night … Many strange phenomena took place in this house.

Sometimes the TV turned on by itself and switched channels. Once we were lying in beds, talking, and the TV turned on by itself and began to change channels.

My friend's room was in the attic and there was a door to the attic on the ceiling. If we stayed there too late, carried away by conversation, we could hear the rasp of a tree on this door. It was very scary, especially when you are 14 years old.

And then the worst thing happened, after which I stopped coming to this house. One day, her whole family went shopping. Her mother closed the house, we went shopping for half an hour, then we returned. When we entered the house, she tried to turn on the light, but it didn't work. She said, "Is there a power outage?" And tried to turn on other lamps. Nothing worked. And then we discovered that all the bulbs in the house had been twisted and stacked in the four corners of the living room. I don't remember why, but I cried when we found them.

3. Woman at McDonald's

Before I tell you about this case, I want to say that I am a skeptic. I don’t believe in things that cannot be explained scientifically. But in my life 25 years ago there was a strange episode that I still remember.

I was 18 years old and recently got my driver's license. I took a car from my father, and my friends and I drove to a neighboring town in search of a cafe. It was a Sunday night, the city was deserted, and the only open location was McDonald's.

As soon as we were seated, an elderly woman came up to us and sat down next to our table. She did not look destitute, but her clothes seemed old and worn. She started talking to us. At first the conversation was friendly and relaxed, but then she began to talk about each of us.

As it turned out, she knows a lot about us, despite the fact that we saw her for the first time and did not know anyone in this city. She spoke quickly, recounting the personal details of each of us's lives. At the beginning of the conversation, she turned to me and said: "Your grandfather was an engineer, wasn't he?" He was indeed an engineer, but he died in 1951 and never lived in the region, so she could not know him.

My friends laughed at her at first, but then became quiet. She did not look like a charlatan fortuneteller, did not fish out information, but she herself actively talked about facts from our life that no one but us could know about.

Suddenly she began to speak French with one of my friends who understood this language. She spoke to each of us about very personal problems that we had, but we preferred not to discuss them, gave advice and mentioned various deceased relatives. All of us were already completely depressed. And the woman got up and said that it was time for her to leave, and she already bothered us. She got up and walked to the door. It was getting late, and we also got up and followed her.

And then a very strange thing happened. I was a few steps away from her when she exited through the first of two doors leading to the street. The exit was located at the corner of the building and faced the intersection of two shopping streets. There were no other doors, streets, lanes in the vicinity, where one leaving the bistro could immediately turn, but when I went out into the street, the woman disappeared.

We drove home 15 minutes and everyone was hysterical. You have to be there to really understand this, but this was a frightening and completely out of the ordinary case.

4. Boy and Ghost

We went to see the house we were going to buy. An 80-year-old woman lived there, and while we looked around the house she was in the corner bedroom reading a book.

As we left, my wife and I thought it was strange that she lived in a corner room and not in the master bedroom. The master bedroom looked like it hadn't been in for a long time. When we bought the house, a neighbor explained that she didn't like spending time in the master bedroom because her husband Ray died there.

One day, a few years later, I stayed at the house with our infant and three-year-old son. The wife left for a while. I put my youngest child to bed and asked my three-year-old son to wait in the room while I shower. Recently they bought him a mechanical toy and fiddled with it trying to figure out how to play with it.

While I was in the shower, I heard that he was talking to someone, and I thought that his wife must have returned ahead of time. But when I came into the room, the child was alone. He sat on the bed and played with his toy. I praised him for finally getting it right and he said, "It's easy, Grandpa Ray showed me how the toy works."
