Shepherd camps of the agin steppes were attacked by completely unprecedented predators attacking domestic animals in flocks.

Wolfdogs are already a fairly well-known hybrid. Sometimes they are kept as service dogs.

According to eyewitnesses, these animals are black in color, with a lowered straight tail, only their head is gray, resembling a wolf.

"And the habits of the wolf: they attack the prey in packs and groups, bully not one victim, but several heads," - noted in an article in a local newspaper. A couple of such predators were tracked down by local hunters near the village of Budalan.

“The predator with a broken spine, with a bared muzzle wheezed and growled, trying to defend and attack. Any dog, when injured, issues visas in pain. And this one growls. They also say that when they ripped off his skin in the collective farm garage, a mongrel ran in there and, smelling the animal smell, tucked his tail, screeched out of there. From all that has been said above, they concluded that the animal they killed was a wolf, but for some unknown reason changed its color,”the newspaper said.

As one of the versions, the inhabitants of Priononya put forward the option that the so-called "wolf dogs" appeared as a result of mating of wolves with the service dogs (mainly shepherds) of the border troops released in the 90s as a result of the lack of food. The number of feral dogs, according to rumors widespread among Aginchan, could reach several hundred.

Aginskaya Pravda notes that the regulation of the number of predators has become a serious problem. At the same time, funds from the regional budget also ceased to allocate funds for reward for killed wolves, which noticeably diminished the enthusiasm of local hunters.
