40 years have passed since a group of 10-year-old schoolchildren from the English village of Broad Haven, playing in the playground, noticed a UFO. This case became the most famous among the wave of incidents that occurred in Wales in 1977. Today, February 4, 2017, they came to a conference dedicated to this event.

David Davis, who was 10 at the time, was among the children who saw the flying saucer. He said that it was a silvery cigar-shaped ship with a dome in the center.

“I only saw him for a couple of seconds. He appeared and then hid behind a tree,”Davis said, recalling that“he felt no fear, but rather surprise, and there was a strong urge to run away.”

None of the teachers believed the children, and the headmaster asked them to draw what they saw. With slight differences, the students drew the same thing.

The days that followed, Davis said, were like a wild roller coaster. Children were constantly disturbed by journalists. It was difficult for them to calm down and tell what they really saw.

Two months later, Rosa Granville, a hotel manager in the nearby town of Little Haven, said she saw an object that looked like an "inverted saucer" and two "unknown humanoid creatures with pointed heads." According to Rosa, the UFO radiated such heat that her face was burned.

“The bright light that came from him was of all the colors of the rainbow. I did not understand how the creatures came out of this radiance, said a frightened woman, who later went to the field where she saw a UFO, and found a circle burnt to the ground.

A number of theories have been put forward to explain the unusual alien activity in the area. The Department of Defense, after being inundated with UFO reports, was forced to respond. A RAF officer who arrived on the scene joked: "Soon we will charge a landing fee from a UFO."

It was assumed that the students could have mistaken the lid of the sewer tank for a UFO. But the children who grew up in the agricultural area were quite familiar with the technique.

The event generated worldwide interest. Expert Emlyn Williams, who is investigating the case with the military police, said: "One kid can lie, but a whole class?"
