The 94-year-old Irishman William Walmsy is already a great-great-great-grandfather. During his long life, he found more than 500 four-leaf clover leaves and believes that they brought him good luck and health.
He keeps many of the four-leafed leaves he found dried in bags, and he found the first lucky leaf only 15 years ago. And since then, according to him, luck and happiness are always with him.
A former bus inspector, William often gives his leaves to friends and acquaintances. He lived in a strong marriage for 63 years and is confident that he can live to be 100 years old.
- Clover undoubtedly works, - says William, - once I gave a leaflet to a lady whose daughter could not get pregnant. She had miscarriages. And soon she became pregnant and gave birth to healthy twins. I am happy with what I have now. All my big family lives nearby, my granddaughter is in the next house. I married the same girl I first fell in love with and lived with her for 63 years. Until the age of 100, I have only 5 and a half years left and I am sure that I can celebrate this anniversary.
William, living in Lincolnshire, has 9 great-great-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, eight grandchildren and two children. He has lawns with clover everywhere in his garden, and in the last 2 weeks alone, he found 50 four-leafed lucky leaves there.
