The question is: if God is omnipotent, then why does he allow Satan to be “the god of this age”?
Answer: The Scriptures clearly show that the devil-Satan currently rules the planet Earth. Even Jesus Christ himself, shortly before his arrest and crucifixion, recognized the authority of Satan: “I will no longer speak to you much, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me” (John 14:30).
How does the devil exercise his rule? He influences world events by implanting his evil ideas in the minds of people, just as a television transmitter broadcasts its signal to be received in people's homes. This analogy can help us understand why the Scriptures call Satan the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now operates in the Sons of Disobedience, among whom we all once behaved in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and mind, and were children by nature. wrath like others”(Ephesians 2: 2-3).
Has Satan Always Existed? Not! God created a powerful and beautiful Archangel named Lucifer, who, together with Michael and Gabriel, served on God's heavenly throne. Why did this Lucifer (Latin for "light-bearing" or "Morning Star") fell and became Satan (in Hebrew for "accuser" or "adversary")? You can read about this in Ezekiel 28: 12-15 and Luke 10:18.
Lucifer and a third of the angels (Revelation 12: 3-4) rebelled against their creator. At some point in the distant past, Lucifer led these angels “above the clouds” to take the throne of God (Isaiah 14: 13-14), leaving their “proper possession” or assigned responsibility (Jude 6) below the clouds here on Earth. Failed, they were cast back to earth (Isaiah 14:12).
Satan has failed in his rebellion, but he remains in the office given to him by God, where he, ironically, still plays an important role in God's plan. You see, people spend 6,000 years living in their own way, under the influence of the satanic spirit of selfishness and evil. They write with their blood, sweat and tears the story of what it is like to live in disobedience to God's way.

Jesus Christ came to earth just over 2,000 years ago as a man (John 1: 1, 14). By living his perfect life immeasurably filled with the Holy Spirit, he showed that with God's help, people can live in obedience to God and reject the way of Satan (Galatians 2:20).
It is because of Jesus Christ that Satan's power on earth will soon end. That is why the devil is called the god of only "this age." Soon there will be an era when Jesus Christ will replace Satan as the ruler of this world. We call this time the "millennium." as king and will remove Satan from his power.
Since the millennium has not yet arrived, what can we do to avoid the evil consequences of Satan's rule? Those who accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ can, through the power of the Holy Spirit, now come under God's control and receive the power to resist the influence of Satan in their lives. “So submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and cleanse your hearts, double-minded”(James 4: 7-8).
God watches over those who obey Jesus Christ and who have given themselves up to evil. “For the time has come for the judgment that must begin in the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who disobey the gospel of God? So, “if the righteous is barely saved, then where will the wicked and the sinner appear?” (1 Peter 4: 17-18).
When the prince of peace returns to establish his government over the nations, Satan's rule will end. “Now is the judgment on this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out”(John 12:31).
