Our planet is full of mysterious places, the secrets of which even the most educated scientists cannot solve. One of these places is the Empty Lake, which is located in Western Siberia. The territory where the mysterious place is located is called the Kuznetsk Alatau.
Why is the lake called Empty? Everything is quite simple - there are no fish, plants, shellfish in it. In other words, the lake is really empty - there is not a single inhabitant in it, even the plants could not take root in the waters of the Empty Lake.
A logical explanation immediately comes to mind - the lake is saturated with toxic substances, which do not allow living organisms to settle here. However, this theory can be safely refuted - many scientists have tried to conduct research on water, but this has not led to anything. The waters of the Empty Lake are absolutely neutral, they hardly differ in their composition from neighboring water bodies, where many fish and other representatives of flora and fauna live.
It should be noted that several rivers flow into the lake. The fish feels great in them, but if it accidentally falls into the Empty, it immediately dies. Local residents have repeatedly tried to "revive" the lake, populating it with the most unpretentious fish, but in vain. Not a single attempt was successful.
Some consider the lake to be an anomalous zone, of which there are tens and even hundreds on earth. The mystery of the Empty Lake remains unsolved, and the place itself is steeped in myths and legends.
