One of the most interesting areas of research in modern physics is gravitational waves, which represent something incomprehensible, transmitted at an incomprehensible speed and it is not clear how. And although gravity was and remains a complete mystery, nevertheless, there are many theories about its nature, one of which was proposed in 1934 and suggests that the gravitational field is transmitted by particles called gravitons.
In 2015, the theory of the existence of gravitational waves was confirmed by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in Livingston, Louisiana. The principle of the discovery of gravitational waves was as follows.
There is a very simple physical device called an interferometer. Its action is based on the phenomenon of interference. The principle of operation of the interferometer is as follows: a beam of electromagnetic radiation (light, radio waves, etc.) is spatially divided into two or more coherent (that is, coordinated) rays using a device. Further, each of the rays goes through different optical paths and is directed to the screen, creating a kind of interference pattern.
If something suddenly happens to these optical paths along which the rays run (for example, one of the reflecting mirrors is hit with a hammer) - this changes the interference picture and physicists understand: Aha! Some gopnik got into the basement and is trying to break down a valuable mirror. Then physicists drop everything and run to the basement to catch the intruder.
Two black holes were considered as the gopnik who attempted the LIGO interferometer. which collided and generated a gravitational wave. It looked something like this:
That is, two laser beams, which rushed along 4-kilometer corridors between 40-kilogram mirrors, created a kind of interference image. When the gravitational wave passed, the mirrors swayed and shifted slightly, which physicists discovered:

We, of course, apologize to the readers for such a long introduction, since we are definitely not writing about interferometers and not about the theory of gravity, but if we do not explain everything from the beginning, as the moron journalists do now, it will be incomprehensible. Meanwhile, understanding the foundations of the current situation is very important, so we continue the introductory.
In addition to incomprehensibility with gravity, physicists have many other incomprehensions, in particular with such fundamental phenomena as matter and vacuum. Without having entered what, how and why, the enlightened adepts came up with the theory of quantum fluctuations, according to which the vacuum seethes with some kind of virtual particles, which are like particles, but not particles, but it is not clear what. In general, the theory of quantum worms that devour the vacuum like a corpse is very good, but according to this theory, the seething of the vacuum should introduce errors in especially accurate measurements. Therefore, LIGO physicists decided to somehow measure these errors, for which they used the same interferometer. When viewed from space, it looks something like this:

To register quantum fluctuations in LIGO, they invented a couple of devices, which they called “quantum jammers”, after which they sat down and began to observe the flights of virtual particles, which, as it were, did not exist. But as it turned out in the course of the experiment - these virtual particles still exist and their influence on the material world is huge - it was enough to move the 40-kilogram mirror shown in the figure above a little. The results of the experiment were published in the journal Nature on July 1, 2020.
The displacement of the mirror turned out, naturally, over microscopic, therefore, for comparison, the authors of the study give an example of a hydrogen atom that fell into a person and knocked him down. This is approximately the same picture, therefore, if you somehow manage these "quantum fluctuations", then you can move objects with one power of thought. Fortunately or unfortunately, a constant quantum chaos reigns within people, therefore, as the light adepts write, people cannot move objects with the power of thought.
So far, the results of the experiment are still being discussed and studied, since physicists themselves do not yet understand how to interpret everything. Perhaps the physicists would be helped by some anthropologists who would go to the jungles of Brazil and find Master Yoda in one of the swamps.
However, we think that astronomy is not responsible for these “quantum fluctuations”.

As many assumed, the Mayan calendar was just counting down the time until this moment, and somewhere around June 21, we entered this belt, after which the interferometer mirrors began to shake. Previously, "quantum noise" somehow did not interfere with them, but then it suddenly began.
