Twitter users shared photos of the anomalous triple rainbow on their accounts. The Daily Mail reports.
According to the Optical Society, only five scientific papers on triple rainbows have been published over the past 250 years. The phenomenon, also known as "reflective rainbows", is considered anomalous. A triple rainbow can only appear near a reservoir when the sun sets over the horizon.
