A resident of the city of Durham, North Carolina, Thea Wilson, before leaving for the weekend on a camping trip with friends, installed a surveillance camera in her yard.
Tea wanted to try photographing the fox, which had visited Tea's yard several times this year and killed a dozen chickens.
Tea was absent for two days, and on Monday she began to view what she had filmed over the weekend.
The fox did come again, and the camera also filmed a child walking by the house, passing cars, several cats and … something unusual in the form of a half-blurred human silhouette.
Most of all, this silhouette looks like a soldier walking down the street. He has a headdress visible, and behind his back is a military knapsack or backpack.
“We were all shocked to see this shot. At first we thought, “What is this person to do at 9 am on Saturday near our house?”, But then they realized that there was something else.”
The camera was set to move and took a picture at the very moment of motion detection, and then, as the movement continued, it clicked objects every 10 seconds. All objects that appeared in the frames: cats, a fox, a boy and cars left behind several frames, the first of which began from the moment they appeared in the camera area - at the edge of the yard.
And the silhouette of a soldier left behind only 1 frame, the one where he is in the center of the street. As if this object suddenly appeared out of nowhere. 10 seconds before the shot with the silhouette of a soldier, the camera took a shot with a "mistake". That is, the picture was taken, but nothing is visible on it, only a blackout. 10 seconds after the shot with the soldier, the camera took a picture again and only an empty street was visible on it.

“If it were just a passing person, the camera would 'catch' him from the moment he appeared and he would be visible at the edge of the yard like other objects,” says Tea.
Thea House is old and was built in the middle of the 19th century. She decided to find out if there were people who went to war in the history of the owners of the house and found one soldier named John, who fought during the Second World War.
“He didn’t die and when he returned, he proposed to his bride and she agreed, but on the wedding day she canceled everything and told him no. John then lived in this house for many years and never married again. Now I'm trying to find a photo of him in order to understand if there could be a ghost of him in this frame. I have some doubts, as the military uniform of the soldier is more reminiscent of the uniform of the First World War, not the Second."
According to Tea, this house still has one of the green-colored lamps near the porch in honor of the fact that a war veteran lives in the house. She also remembered that from time to time strange sounds were heard in the house, as if someone was walking through the rooms and stairs.
“And once there was a case when I was upstairs, in the bathroom, and my cats had a fight on the stairs, and I heard an unfamiliar male voice shout at them 'Behave yourself!' I thought that one of the neighbors came to me and shouted “Hello! I'm in the bathroom! “. But I didn't hear anything else."
According to Tea, she had a theory. She thinks that maybe the ghost of a soldier appears on the street near the house on a certain day on July 7th. Perhaps this date is very important for him, maybe it was on this day that he returned from the war and made that unsuccessful proposal to his beloved, and this memory continues to torment him even after death.
Tea wants to put the camera back on that day next year and see if she shoots anything else out of the ordinary.
