Ufologists all over the world have repeatedly accused the governments and special services of the great powers in an effort to hide from the public the truth about the contacts with extraterrestrial intelligence. In this regard, one can recall the mysterious catastrophe in Roswell (USA) in the summer of 1947 or the rumors of a UFO crash in the Urals at the end of the 60s. In all such cases, the authorities stated that there were no aliens in those parts, and the enthusiasts who tried to conduct their own investigation had serious trouble with the FBI, KGB and similar organizations.

Even the UN is powerless

In 1980, the international organization of ufologists, ICUFON, published a memorandum justifying the need to create a World Space Agency to perform the following tasks: international control and observation of UFO activities around the world; finding ways to establish contacts with the forces leading the activities of the UFO; prevention of any hostile actions towards UFOs by the armed forces of the countries participating in the agency; using UFO discoveries to accelerate progress and improve lives in all countries. The memorandum cited various examples of actions by US government agencies aimed at suppressing and concealing data on the UFO problem from the public. Head of ICUFON von Kevitsky in 1988compiled and sent to all UN member states a new memorandum containing 350 declassified documents describing 140 classic UFO incidents. This memorandum consists of four parts: A - UFO potential hazard syndrome; B - military plans for armed defense against extraterrestrial invaders (UFOs); C - undeclared war against UFOs - galactic forces; D is the road to star war and a matter of survival. There have been repeated attempts to organize UFO research within the framework of the United Nations, since some UN leaders took this problem quite seriously. The first attempt to organize an international study of this phenomenon was made in 1966. UN Secretary General U Thant. But then-US ambassador to the UN, Goldberg, took vigorous measures to prevent this from happening.and assured U. Thane that the United States itself would conduct an impartial scientific study of the UFO problem. U Thant's attitude towards UFOs can be judged by his statement made on July 5, 1967: "The most important issue that should interest us, apart from the Vietnam War, is flying saucers or UFOs." When in 1970 West German UFO researcher Jacobi asked U Thant if it was true that extraterrestrial UFO pilots had made contact with governments and that all these facts and their reasons were kept secret, he replied: “There are things that I cannot and cannot I have the right to speak. " The issue of the actions of the spacecraft of earthly powers during meetings with UFOs was raised at the UN meeting in 1971. In a speech by the representative of Uganda, Ibingir, who expressed concern about the dangerous consequences, which could have the careless actions of the crews of terrestrial spaceships when encountering unknown objects. He stated: “We must be sure that the Earth's spacecraft does not behave in a hostile manner when accidentally encountering a spacecraft or object of unknown origin. For the guilt of an unknown object that caused damage to one of the states of the Earth will turn out to be negligible in comparison with the guilt of a state, whose actions will provoke aggression from an unknown source of space in relation to our entire planet. Therefore, I propose to include in the draft convention a paragraph obliging states to manage their space objects in such a way that, in the event of a meeting with unknown objects, they show reasonableness in their behavior, do not confront these objects and do not provoke them. "This proposal was also blocked by representatives of the great powers with veto power in the UN Security Council.

Official science versus ufology

For many decades, the American leadership has made persistent attempts to prevent international research on the UFO problem. Thus, there are still no official reports on several disasters of "flying saucers" that took place in the United States in the late 1940s. Moreover, government-controlled scientific organizations have repeatedly published reports in which it was argued that all such cases are completely terrestrial in origin. According to ICUFON, this can only be explained by the desire of the United States to belittle the importance of this problem in the eyes of other countries in order to secure a monopoly in this area. A similar situation developed in England, where a special branch of the British Ministry of Aviation, studying UFOs, in 1959 collected more than 45,000 reports, notes and photographs related to UFOs. At the same time, all the military and scientists were strictly forbidden to speak openly about UFO sightings. Investigation of all UFO reports received in the British Ministry of Defense is being conducted by a group of experienced employees who have access to any information that comes at the disposal of the military department. However, full UFO reports in accordance with the existing provisions can only be published after 30 years. If such strictness was introduced in the democratic countries of the West, then it is easy to imagine what secrecy surrounded the UFO problem in the USSR. The first Soviet ufologists began to collect materials on this topic in the late 50s, and already in January 1961, Academician L. Artsimovich in Pravda violently attacked “irresponsible persons” advocating UFO propaganda, as a result of which the founder of Soviet ufology Fomin was expelled from the Knowledge Society, and the work on the study of UFOs in the USSR stopped for several years. In 1967, after many statements by Aeroflot flight personnel about aircraft encounters with uncontrolled air traffic control services, the Minister of Civil Aviation Loginov instructed to report on each such meeting. In October of the same year, a UFO department was created at DOSAAF. However, a month later, the DOSAAF Central Committee adopted a resolution on the dissolution of the UFO study department, and in December the General and Applied Physics Department of the USSR Academy of Sciences, headed by Academician Artsimovich, issued a decision condemning the study of UFOs in the USSR, declaring it an anti-scientific sensation. In February 1968, Pravda published a devastating article entitled “Flying Saucers Again”, signed by Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences E. Mustel, Professor A. Martynov and V. Leshkovtsev,in which the UFO problem was called myth and speculation, and people who take it seriously were declared "ignorant of science."

What are ufologists hiding?

The situation is also not good among ufologists. Recently Anton Anfalov, coordinator of the UFO Association of Ukraine (UKUFAS), addressed the press with a sensational letter entitled "The truth about UFOs is hidden not only by the military, but also by ufologists !!!" According to Anfalov, the facts he knows testify to the widespread suppression of the truth in Russia about UFOs and irrefutable evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations. Moreover, this is happening under the auspices of the military-industrial complex and the scientific elite. The main culprit of this Anfalov calls Professor VG Azhazha, president of the department "Ufology and Bioenergy Information" of the International Academy of Informatization. Few people know how and with what Azhazha began his ufological career, being at that time a captain of the second rank in the Northern Fleet. Maybe, already at that time he received broad support from the military and state security. On November 11, 1976, he made a report to the underwater research section of the Oceanographic Commission of the USSR Academy of Sciences. At the same time, Azhazha visits the science department of the CPSU Central Committee, as well as the space control department of the Ministry of Defense and personally the Deputy Minister of Defense of the USSR, where he reports in detail on UFOs. But Azhazha is still silent about what he managed to learn about anomalous phenomena (AYa is the official Soviet name for UFOs) in high offices. In December of the same year, he became the scientific supervisor of the research work (R&D) "Hydrospheric aspect of the UFO problem", supervised by … the intelligence department of the General Staff of the Navy (a branch of the well-known GRU or "Aquarium", ie the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff). This work was later concentrated in military unit 62728 in St. Petersburg. On July 15, 1977 Azhazha presented to the customer the first stage of research work "Methodological instructions for organizing observations of the nuclear field in the Navy" (out. N 13037/6-SPI). On October 7, 1977, these instructions were introduced by the order of the Deputy Chief of the Main Staff of the Navy, Admiral P. Navoitsev. Later, the same instructions were developed and adopted for the Soviet Army, where information flowed to military unit 67947 (Mytishchi), signed by Colonel R. Pokrovsky. Along with Azhazhi's significant contribution to the development of ufology in the period 1989-1990, his position suddenly changes dramatically: from an ardent adherent of the extraterrestrial UFO hypothesis, he becomes … an ardent denier, confidently asserting: "UFOs are not aliens!" He turns the UFO problem in the public eye into something ephemeral and multifaceted under a vague definition:“Local materialization of the essence of the Absolute through parallel worlds”, while borrowing no less vague ideas of foreign colleagues, in particular Jacques Vallee. The same Vallee, who at one time worked closely with the CIA consultant Professor J. A. Hynek. It is surprising that Azhazha, who previously bombarded listeners with information about UFO disasters and alien corpses, showing photos of captured UFOs and humanoids in hangars, suddenly publicly and rather unconvincingly, contrary to the facts, debunks the UFO catastrophe in Roswell, the reality of which is not in doubt among all serious researchers. In 1992 Azhazha visited the Roswell Museum, and in the same year (in the USA) he met with American ufologists, including Phil Klass. According to available documents, Phil Klass has been a CIA agent since 1973,its task is to debunk UFO sightings. The extraterrestrial hypothesis is already beginning to be interpreted by Azhazha as oversimplification, "ufo-primitivism", which leaves a significant imprint on the entire approach to research into the UFO problem and on the attitude towards dissidents. So, Azhazha's opinion changed, but for some reason it began to correspond to the official one ?! And about what is hiding in military unit 73790 in Zhitkur (at the Kapustin Yar training ground) and in Odintsovo (Moscow region), Azhazha keeps complete silence. As well as the fact that UFO catastrophes took place - reliable cases of 1959 in Poland, 1974 near Donetsk, 1978 in Kazakhstan, 1979 in the Urals, 1984 on the Kola Peninsula, 1987 near Vyborg and Monchegorsk, 1989 in the Perm region. There is a lot of irrefutable material evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations. Like the corpses of aliens, explored in Moscow and near Semipalatinsk. As the leading ufologist of the country, Azhazha with his connections could not help but know about it, and at least partially some facts he probably knew. But, apparently, he deliberately hid them. Another interesting coincidence. At the end of 1991, on the pages of the press under the auspices of the UFO - the Azhazhi center, discrediting of information about the alleged UFO catastrophe in the North Caucasus that took place in 1983, according to the group of F. I. Konovalov and V. P. Kostrykin from Nalchik. Why did they return to the story of eight years ago on the basis of old Polish props? Here's why. As a high-ranking Ukrainian military man, head of the Main Hydrometeorological Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Y. V. Lunev admitted in 1995, it was in 1991 that a UFO was shot down by a fighter near the town of Prokhladny, inside which the corpses of two creatures were found, and the third was alive. All materials and apparatus were taken out on the external sling of a Mi-26 helicopter in military unit 73790 to Zhitkur. The role of cover for this operation was played by Azhazi's company to refute UFO catastrophes. After that, the Nalchinsk group of ufologists was generally closed, and Konovalov himself, after his publications about the concealment of UFOs in Russia … disappeared in 1997. Perhaps he came too close to the dangerous truth about the UFO crash in Kabardino-Balkaria? The answer, perhaps, lies in the fact that, in addition to the search for truth, the purely selfish side of mass speeches and publications about UFOs is also of no small importance for ufologists. Scientific ethics are not taken into account at all. If in science the falsification of results is a “mortal sin” and there are only isolated cases of such “sins” in its history (they are all known),then in ufology there are thousands and tens of thousands of "pseudo-observations" passed off as valid. Theories are built on the basis of imaginary facts without any responsibility for their reliability. Limiting themselves to their momentary interests, false UFO researchers turn a serious scientific problem into a farce, which causes considerable damage to the scientific research of the problem of space civilizations. However, myths and fairy tales, especially when they "caress the ear", are loved not only by children, so that ufology will always have a large number of admirers; but at the same time, society needs to know that such legends, under certain conditions, can turn into painful hallucinations.
